Default CS: Singles Types A and B - Do have or Don't?

If this one has been asked, don't hesitate to lock this thread.

It's been bothering me a long while since I've purchased 8th style years ago. I've noticed that the column width for the CS isn't exactly the same as the AC's lane. And then I saw that the Doubles have a Type A and Type B kind. How come Singles don't have a Type A and Type B like Doubles do? Why can't Konami have a Type A and Type B on the Original option?

I did a Photoshop cropping thing and this came out (Sense 2007):

EDIT2: This is what I think of for the Type A and Type B Singles if possible:

TYPE A - Cropped version of the 16:9 aspect ratio of the screen. Wider video screen, arcade-sized columns.
TYPE B - Current CS format for singles w/ wider columns.

It would've been nice if GOLD CS or future releases for those who're still living in the 4:3 aspect ratio to have a Type A and Type B for Singles.

When you start the game without autoloading the game will ask you if you want Arcade or Original display settings. It can also be changed in the options menu.

I guess I better clarify more about this. What you said, I know about that. What I meant was: How come there's no Type A and Type B for the Singles side in which Type A's the cropped version of the arcade-sized single side while Type B's the current CS format in which the column's about 1 1/2" wider? Sans the two-sided 2P side. You didn't get the picture that I posted. Compare the current CS layout to the cropped pic that I made. Notice that the column for the CS format's 1 1/2" longer than the AC format? To me, that's too wide. I had total difficulty timing between the two.

He wants to squish the video so that the lanes can be wider (the same size as the arcade) and still have arcade format.

He actually wants the opposite, where it's like arcade format (Type B in BM US) but the 2p side is not there. So the lane is the same size as the arcade

I really don't see how this makes any difference at all. I have never had any problem going between 16:9 and 4:3 formats between arcade and home. The lane width doesn't really make a difference to how I read the notes...

To me, it does. Personally, the Original's lane's too wide as I've posted before. Konami should at least have a Type A and B for the Original option, IMO. Whereas the Type A's the arcade-sized lane while Type B's the CS-sized. I want to have that arcade-like feeling without resizing the lane, even if it's chopped to 4:3.

Uh, look here. The widescreen CRT's here in the US have been discontinued. I'm having a total rough-ass time playing on my 32" widescreen LCD, aka total lag-ass. I currently play on a 4:3 CRT flatscreen. Is that enough info?

C'mon, man. It doesn't hurt to have a cropped 16:9 view on a 4:3 screen. Look at doskoislayer's vids. To me, that looks hella' better for future CS versions for those who still play IIDX at 4:3 views like me.

Where would the score graphs go? :'(

Also, I'm pretty sure you could pick up a second hand widescreen CRT for next to nothing.

I got a new CRT a couple months ago to replace an old one that broke that I had all my last-gen systems hooked up to, it was 4:3 but it came with an option to display in 16:9. You might want to look into that.
