If you haven't played on the Ning, don't give a review of it.

The price is insane, yes we get it. But I would think that the Ning was more directed towards the JPN market, as opposed to the US market. (kinda like the KSC for the KR market.)

From what Eddie has told me from his roughly 2 minutes looking at my PEE while I was down in LA, it's p much identical to the Ning. It even has the same method to change sides apparently.

Also don't second-guess ryry. He's a fantastic!!

Lol, it looks exactly like a dao. Too bad Konami owns the design right?

Anyway, why would you get one of these? There's already a ton of people that can attest to the quality of Dao's controllers. It makes no sense to me why anyone would go out and buy a new controller like these when there's something tried and true on the market? It baffles me.

That point aside, from the reviews I've seen so far it's not noticeably better and it costs more than a Dao. So I say again, why would you buy one of these controllers instead of a Dao? At this point in time, at least.

Wobble the keys from side to side? I've seen this at the arcade too.
It's just that the little nut that keeps the key in place is loose. If it's tight the key doesn't budge an inch. The housing for the key has to be slightly larger than the key itself or you'd never get it in and out, and that allows it to wiggle a bit if you don't make sure everything's tight. Not sure I'd call that a Pro, since it happens on nearly all controllers with those kinds of keys.

I'd interpreted that as meaning the actual buttons are more US-KOC like and don't move around in their key areas. I would love to mod a Dao to do this.

Why do only Japan get to choose their turntable weight, key silencing, etc?

Is eddie ever gonna finish that review? I hardly think I'll buy this instead of Dao (which I'll probably buy along with Sirius CS, in a year...) since the only big advantage it has over Dao is limited to japan only for absolutely no reason (hell, I'd love a heavier TT, it makes it more DJ-like) but I still wonder...
Also, that gold TT thing is so AWESOME.

EDIT: By the way, Dao may not provide warranty, but he basically mails you parts for free if yours are broken (of course, this may take a while, since he has no real customer support, but still)

EDIT1 1/2: Where can I get myself a KSC anyway? those look nice....

You mean a Konami ASC? Don't get one. The buttons are crap. The turntable is crap. It's not worth it. But if you want to throw away your money, you could get one at playasia.com?

Oh, okay. Never heard of such a thing.

To be honest, I'm not sure how different a IIDX ASC could be from another one, if they all have Sanwas and Omrons with arcade spacing, other than the turntable quality. They will all pretty much play the same. Right? Or am I missing something?

After reading the brand new review on this, I still don't get the main point: How is this better than Dao? I mean, we get it. It's an ASC that deserves its' name. But other than the hand cushion I don't see how is it different than much less expensive Dao.
