But I'm torn between playing Mei or Scorpion Fire 7K. I can pass Mei with a high B, but on Scorpion Fire, I bomb down to ~40% on the ending. It probably sounds a little showoffy but what do you guys would be the more "ooh ahh" song? | |

example: when i played Be Quiet on RED, some people in my building asked about the song more than the game since they all seemed to like the beat.

In my 6 years of DDR I've discovered that people are more impressed with standard difficulty songs than anything else. If the song is too hard they are intimidated and most of them quickly resort to making fun of you to compensate for their lack of skill (I meant that seriously).
I definitely would recommend something like EarthScape [A]. Its a slow song that shows off the piano and drums very distinctly as you play them.

I'd go with the song likely to leave a better impression, so I'll say Scorpion Fire.

As for the song, my recommendation is to probably choose a song where the keysounds are really distinct and apparent to hear (as in not just a bunch of background drum sounds). I would definitely choose nothing harder than a 9 or 10. Come to think of it, I'm starting to like the the idea of Resonate 1794 [7k]. It's chill in the beginning while the end may surprise some people.
