Zektbach did say that Melius Calendar is extremely similar to the Gregorian Calendar.I'm sure about it.

So,what can be infered from it?

Malchut is not Humina but the incarnation of Turii,maybe she can live as long as a big tree.Since the circulation of Turii People(The ritual of Panta Rhei) was broken,she can never die,just like L'erisia,the incarnation of Ristaccia.

That makes sense, because in the video towards the end, the characters are flashing red and green, red for l'erisia and green for malchut, so it could be the good vs evil thing.

I'm also going to compile every translation you given into one long story so that it's easier than having to read through 30 pages. If Raison d'etre is the beginning of the second act of the epic, then I suggest we do thisat the end of act II. Also, are there any parts of the story that aren't covered in this thread D.J.JSRF?

I think there's no justice or evil between them.

Ristaccia brings "Chaos",Turii brings "Regularity".They are rivals.That's all.

The most important character here is Gijiri.I can imagine that he had a Ristaccia-inserted Katana in his hand.However,he broke the regularity of Turii,and that caused uncleansable chaos to the world such like the spring of Lourdes and the birth of Hannes.This is what the booklet told me.

But I can't see how that happened,since Gijiri is about 100 years elder than Malchut.A bug in the story?Or there's some kind of miracle brought by Ristaccia?

But I remember you saying that he usurps l'erisia. If it was l'erisia's job to bring chaos, gijiri did this by trying to kill malchut. Maybe that was how he managed to usurp l'erisia... but if Joah created l'erisia, and he possibly ressurects her, why would he allow her to be usurped?

CHARACTERS

MATIN CATORCE, 14 years old, right-handed, the "positive" one of the twins, the wielder of The Sword Of Hope; Trisagion. Though she became the empress of Noigllado for having the ability to wield Trisagion, she was too young to have enough authoritativeness that few ministers and knights swore their oaths of allegiance to her.

Matin doesn't have any power at all. She is just a figurehead controlled by an organization behind the scenes which is named "Agiona". They have the virtual power to dominate the whole holy kindom. The heir to the throne was always decided by them. Of course, they chose Matin.

Agiona abandoned Nox who was intended to be the heir to the throne, but made Matin the first Empress of the holy kindom. No one knows the reason.

She grew up in the palace, the fabulous life made her heart full of love. She did not even know how to hate another person. When she learned that she had a brother who was abandoned few years who was still alive, she instantly began to pray for him and tried to find him.Though she could feel Nox's hatred from the Ristaccia piece in her necklace, she still loved Nox and wanted to save him from hatred. But this does not mean that she was weak girl. Her heart was adamant enough, and she had a strong sense of justice. She would do anything for her country and her people, even if it meant sacrificing herself or to kill a loved one. To safeguard her justice, finally, she put her customized armor (which housed one piece of Ristaccia) and brought the sword of Trisagion up, to fight her loving brother.

NOX CATORCE, 14 years old, left-handed, the "negative" one of the twins, and wielder of The Sword Of Despair: Tyrfing. He was supposed to be a prince, but was abandoned for having the ability to wield another Ristaccia sword; Tyrfing. Matin and Nox are of perfect symmetry, as are the two swords.To avoid the possible conflict between the positive one and the negative one, Nox had to be abandoned.

But the royal sword instructor Adhuc did not want that to happen because he was such a kind man who had already adopted two orphans. He took Nox and the sword of Tyrfing away, escaped from the palace, and then,Nox became the third child adopted by Adhuc.He grew up in countryside, lead a poor life with Adhuc and the other two children. Adhuc taught his swordmanship to Nox. With his talent, Nox became an outstanding swordman. Knowing Nox was a Prince, Adhuc bought some gorgeous suits for Nox. For that, though he lead a tough life, Nox never looked shabby, but always as beautiful as his sister.

The Holy Kingdom Of Noigllado was the largest country on the continent, the dominators were always eager to expand their own sphere of influence further.This made both the people of Noigllado and other countries resentful. Finally, the Anti-Noigllado Alliance was founded. Unfortunately, Nox had a strong sense of justice too. He wanted to fight against the Holy Kingdom in order to save the poor people, so he joined the Alliance. Later, he was taught his antecedent. He felt happy for owning an outstanding sister at first (he kept his braid to show his respect to Matin), but finally, with the implacable resentment, his heart became full of hatred and the hatred was amplified day by day under the influence of the piece of Ristaccia inserted in Tyrfing.Nox also had a stepsister called Aime whom he loved as a mother, but unfortunately, Aime died in the war. This allowed heart to be fully occupied by Ristaccia.The Alliance hailed Nox as their leader, but Nox had no interest in taking his country back; he just hated Matin and wanted to kill her.

SHAMSHIR ZAMOUK was born in Amuss, a city to the south of Isfaphan. Her father is Shaldile, the commander in chief of the kingdom army. Her mother is Khukuri, a world-class famous dancer. Born into such an outstanding family, Shamshir mastered both swordsmanship and dancing. Moreso, she really had some natural talent for both fields. She combined her father's swordsmanship with her mother's dance, and created her unique "Battle Dance", a beautiful and deadly skill that made her nearly invincible in close combat. And even moreso, she is a skilled archer too. That is to say, she is an all-around talented warrior. The whole continent was deeply impressed by her superior strength and her gorgeous battle dance. The heroin who saved her motherland - The Kindom Of Azuelgatt from the invading of Noigallado, using her Ristaccia forged shamshir - Colada D'el Cid. After the war, the king was frightened by her power and wanted her expelled. Later, she was arrested while performing battle dance for citizens. At that time, the piece of Ristaccia began to flash brightly and then, Shamshir killed all the people there in a flash. Several days later, the kingdom was doomed, and Shamshir became a marionette of Ristaccia.

LIEN CLEWING, a talented mathematician who became enlightened by Σ. He felt the existence of Σ when he was working at a puzzle concerning prime numbers. When he was taking his Journey in the fantasy world of numbers, he found a shorter way to solve the puzzle. He named the way "The Lane Of Zeta." Then he met Σ in the lane. Σ threw seven of the world's hardest puzzles to Lien to test his talent and Lien solved all of them. At that time, he had his idea straightened out and began to know the ultimate truth of the world and. With Σ's guidance, he got himself "evoluted." After that, he "created" a pair of twins to keep the evoluted gene passing down and then, he went to the ruins in order to find out the true nature of Ristaccia. But unfortunately, he was killed by Shamshir in the ruins. Lien was born in Ridenbourg, The Academic City. His father was a famous archaeologist who became a prisoner and had to abandon Lien because his mother died when he was young. Because of this, Lien was raised in the Royal Library by officials. Lien grew up a mathematical prodigy and one day, found a note left by his father telling him to go the Olvie Ruins where he discovered Σ.

Hannes, a 16 years old girl, was born to her mother, a virgin whom she lost soon after she was born. But she led a happy life. Everyone called her "The Holy Daughter," loved her and respected her very much. Her heart was always full of gratitude. She thanked The God Of Lourdes for giving them a happy life and offered prayer to Lourdes everyday. But one day, there seemed to be something wrong with their happy life. Everyone looked so nervous.Hannes was confused about that.
Then she saw an old woman squatted beside the lane, crying. She soon walked up to the old woman and asked what happened.
The old woman's sound was so weak that Hannes couldn't hear it clearly. But she heard that the old woman mentioned something about The Spring Of Lourdes.
She comforted the old woman by praying for her.Then, she stood up, began to run to The Spring Of Lourdes to see what really happened.

Chapter 0 : Ristaccia -Prologue-

For a long time, eight races lived together peacefully.They discovered Ristaccia eight pieces. Every race held one piece of Ristaccia, offered prayers to it and asked for protection. And Ristaccia continued bringing them many blessings and miracles.

But peace wouldn't last for ever.The eight races had began to have negative emotions and finally, a war among eight races broke out.They inserted the eight pieces of Ristaccia into weapons to fight each other. The great magical power of Ristaccia had completely extinguished six races on that planet and the whole civilization of mankind almost died out.

After the war, two races of mankind still existed, although had lost most of their people.

One race was called "Rufina".They were the most intelligent race in that world. In order to live forever, they created a memeplex named "Σ" and sealed themselves off from the world. Σ slept deeply under the ground for a long time, until a talented mathematician named Lien found it.

The other race was called "Humina." Knowing the great power of Ristaccia, they knelt before Ristaccia and offered their prayers just like before. They asked for the prosperity of the race and the flourish of the planet. After a long time, a religion was formed.The center of the religion is the Holy Kindom Of Noigallado, which is the largest and the most poweful kingdom in that world.

A holy sword named "Trisagion" is the symbol of the religion. It is said to be born out of one piece of Ristaccia.

Chapter 1 : Her Name Is Shamshir

The Kingdom Of Azuelgatt, in the east of the continent, was newly established about 150 years ago by the eastern ethnic group "Asem".

Several years ago, all of a sudden, The Holy Kingdom Of Noigllado had made their invading armies rush into Azuelgatt. Certainly, Azuelgatt did not have the power to resist the invading of the most powerful country on the continent. The defending force struggled when they because of their lack of ammunition. But after frequent failures, they were now pushed to the east line of Latakia Dunes, having their backs to the wall.

The Fortress Of Doroah, the last and the only strongpoint left for them to protect The Capital City Isfaphan. There, the defending force were all working under a young female general. At that time, Shamshir was only 15 years old when she was appointed as a commander of the army by her father.But that time, the whole continent was at peace; the army was never going to fight but playing a role as police.Therefore, Shamshir began to feel bored in the army; she always wanted to challenge the strong. One day, Shamshir was ordered to exterminate the bandit group which had committed many illegal acts around Pananora. When she met the bandit leader, she heard an interesting rumor...

"Hey, I see. Your eyes is telling me that you are so eager for strength. You were so tired of that boring army, right?"

With sinister smile, the arrested bandit leader said.

"Let me tell you a good thing. Do you know that Assia Sand Cave? It lies to the south of Amuss. It is said that an uncommon treasure was sleeping inside there and waited for someone to awaken it. That's a scimitar. A powerful, mysterious scimitar. If you can have it...well,find it first,only if you can! Gahahahaha!!..."

Shamshir considered it as a jape at first, but the words bothered her all day long.

"Everyday is so boring...It's better to go and check it out.Much better than wasting time here."

The next day, Shamshir disappeared.

"Maybe, it's my fault. She is still too young to be appointed as a commander," he thought.

As a good father, he did not blame his daughter's, but had a self-examination instead.

However, after a long while, Shamshir still didnt' come back.

Finally, she showed her face in front of Shaldile, right when he was at the end of his tether.

"Shamshir, why did you go away? Where did you go?"

Shaldile asked, feeling very discouraged.

"Father, please don't worry. Leave it all to me."

Before Shaldile opened his mouth, Shamshir immediately asked him to appoint her as the chief commander of Doroah Fortress.

Without any words, Shaldile just nodded.

General Adnowell, the commander in chief of the holy knightage, had already embattled his 40000 battalions before the frontline of Doroah. He had already heard from the scout that Shamshir was in charge of Doroah Fortress. As a commander and a knight, he knew Shamshir very well. In order to play for safety, he used the 'Testudo' formation, an excellent defensive formation, even though there were only 4000 soldiers in the fortress.

"Shamshir, even though you are as powerful as the god of war, you will be powerless before my 40000 elites!"

Gazing upon the fortress, Adnowell began to feel sad. Just like Shamshir, he also liked to challenge the strong.

"Today, one of the strongest warriors in this world will be gone. That is the biggest pity."

Thinking so, Adnowell gave the order to attack, in his stentorian voice...

Chapter 2 : Part I - The Awakening Marks

Σ, the memplex created by the Rufina race, tried to mix the gene of Rufina Race and Humina Race, in order to create a Transcendental Being who will have enough wisdom to trace the origin of Ristaccia. After many attempts of genetic modification, a perfect Transcendental Being (Lien) was born.

After a few years, Lien had grown up. Wanting to know whether he is wise enough, Σ throw 7 hardest questions to Lien. He had passed Σ's test and proved himself to be talented. Σ showed him all the secret data which was collected and cleaned up by Rufina Race and asked him to go to the Ristaccia Ruin to investigate the truth.

But after all, Ristaccia did not want that to happen; Lien had to die...

Right after Lien solved the seventh puzzle,he felt like something bursted in his head. With all hairs standing up and eyes whirling quickly, he had the feeling that something was sinking through every pore of his body. It seemed as if he was having a nightmare. The next second, his body fell into many numbers flying in space. Before long, the numbers gathered up and formed a long number sequence. Then the sequence began to screw together, making a spinning double helix tower. Several seconds later, the tower fell into many pieces of many colorful bits, and then gathered up again, becoming a mosaic screen. The screen began to display many different kinds of animal and plants. It seemed to be a huge auto-paging illustrated dictionary of living creatures. Suddenly after a big bang, a flood of sound waves swallowed everything.


When Lien regained his consciousness, he found that he was floating in an ocean of stars, the sun in his hand, and the planets were spinning around him. After a while, the stars also began to fall into many pieces of numbers and then disappeared.The space became completely dark. But there was a lot of dust floating in space irregularly.
Then one piece of dust began to shine. After that, all the dust started their regular motion. Finally the dark space was filled with light. Lien closed his eyes and took a deep breath:

"Now,I know...I know everything about it.I feel quite refreshed."

When Lien opened his eyes, he saw a whited dressed goddess appear from the light.

"My name is 'Σ'. I have waited for a long long time... for someone who can solve my seven questions. Now the time has finally come. Now, listen to me carefully. After the Ristaccia War, the surviving Rufinas had decided to abandon their physical bodies to seek eternal existence. They collected all the information around them and synergised it all.This way, I was created. My ultimate duty is to trace the origin of Ristaccia, which has the greatest power on this planet. This is the last wish of Rufina Race."

After this short introduction, Σ began to tell Lien the truth.

"After my deep sleep of hundreds of years, I find that the world is now prospering again. The Humina Race had done well under the influence of Ristaccia. So, I chose a few outstanding Huminas and carved 'the mark of intelligence' onto their genes step by step. Then after hundreds of years, a perfect transcendental being was born in this genealogy: you, Lien. You have both the most excellent genes from Humina Race and Rufina Race, and they merged together very well. That's why you have the transcendental intelligence capacity to solve my seven hardest puzzles. Now you are the only one who can find out the truth about Ristaccia. Go to the Ristaccia Ruins, Lien. This mission had been passed down from your ancestors and my creators for hundreds of years. Nowit's in your hands."

Stood in front of the mysterious goddess, Lien never showed any fluster or anxiousness, even after he was told his task. He kept a cool face, appeared completely unmoved. It seemed that he was the one who wanedt to meet the goddess on his own initiative.

Maybe it was because all of the Rufina gene marks in his body had all awakened at one time.

"So I'm a transcendental being who has inherited the genes of the ancient race "Rufina" and the goddess Σ attempted to modify my ancestor's genes, created a 'genealogy of transcendental beings,' in order to created a transcendental being like me?."

Lien was thinking silently.

"If I didn't come here, myabe I'd never understand all of this! But now I can feel that Ristaccia influencing the whole planet! I surely can understand it!"

Then he opened his mouth and with a calm voice said.

"My beautiful goddess, thanks to you I finally understand the reason for my natural affinity for mathematics! It's almost instinctual! All for today? all for rightnow? Sorry to keep you waiting so long! After seeing your bristling hair, I could understand how boring you felt these years. It's really a pain to have boring days..."

Part II - Transcendental Intelligence and Might

"Now there was one me who had to obey the rules of nature, and there is another me who can transcend all the rules,o verlooking the whole world like a flying bird freely."

Lien touched himself in order to confirm his sense of touch and his existence.

"The Goddess Σ had already entrusted the 'Golden Key' to me and taught me the occult science named "Evolution," so all I'm left to do is to uncover the mystery of Ristaccia, the mysterious eight pieces of ruby; mankind has never found of the existence for them. This is the unfulfilled wish of the seven vanished races and also my destiny as a transcendental being."

Lien was standing in front of a tough looking large gate. It seemed that no one could open it with physical methods. Now he had acquired a special ability after his evolution; he closed his eyes, described the transcendental theory in his brain. After doing that, when he opened his eyes the large gate soon disappeared in his sight. All he could see was a long sequence of numbers. He closed his eyes again, solved the number sequence puzzle in his brain within one minute. And when he opened his eyes again, the large gate was already opened without any sound.It seemed that the gate was not automatically opended but was never closed at first.

The Ristaccia Ruins; it was also called "The Ruins Of Flying Ship".

Having the large gate opened, Lien entered the ruins. After crossing a long corridor, Lien saw that the long stairs lead underground. Getting down the stairs, finally he came to a large chamber. The chamber was nearly empty. The only thing in the chamber is a strange slab lied at the center of the chamber, twinkling with soft light. The slab did not seem to be made out of stone or metal, but some kind of unknown beautiful material. Lien approached the slab with caution. He saw that there were something written on the top of the slab. It seemed to be some kind of alphabet, but even the encyclopaedic Lien had never seen this kind of alphabet anywhere before. Obviously these words didn't belong to this world. However Lien could read the words naturally; he also felt incredible about it. The words said:

A.D.1906, Ludwig Eduard Boltzmann killed himself at Duino.

Though Lien could read the words, though Lien had his new ability awakened by the ancient artifacts, he was not to get the understanding at all.

"What is this? What does this mean? Did this come from another world?"

Lien put his hand on the top of the slab. The slap made a sound and the old words became new ones. Lien tried to read them. The words said:

I know that it can't be helped.

Some time or other,everything would lose their meaning of existence.It will be all in vain.

After knowing that, you still hold out some hope? Foolishness.

So I decided to say "farewell" to this hollow world.

Lien could not understand it either.He closed his eyes,tried to use his special ability again.But this time,a extremely complicated geometry puzzle appeared in front of him. The overlapping multiple geometries seemed annoying he really did not know where to start. Lien touched the slab again. The words were renewed for the second time.

The words said:

We were trapped in a dead end.

It looks like the great maze won't easily accept us.

When did I realize that?

Well,I had already realized it,long long ago.

Suddenly,Lien felt that he had a ringing in his ears.

"Joa...I don't think this is the first time I heard this name.It sounds so familiar to me..."

At that time he heard some strange noise.

"Who's...there?"

No one replied him. His voice echoed in the big empty chamber. But he really did saw someone's dark silhouette at the entrance to the chamber. He walked back to the entrance to see whether there is someone there. At the entrance stood a black haired beautiful woman in eastern ethnic costume. She had an expressionless face. But Lien could feel a strong will from her eyes.

"How could you get here? There was no way for you to get that gate open...wait, that costume, you must come from Azuelgatt..."

Lien was suddenly struck dumb after noticing the woman's sword.

"That is...a piece of Ristaccia!?"

The woman kept her expressionless face and threw her sharp eyes to Lien's face. Obviously she was murderous and dangerous.

She opened her mouth peacefully.

"My name is Shamshir. My duty is to find the transcendedal beings and hunt them down. I'm so sure that a transcendedal beings will always cause great disasters. Now I can feel your extraordinary intelligence so you're going to die.Your extraordinary intelligence will live forever in my memories."

At that time Lien saw a vortex of primal sequences whirling in front of him and the center of the vortex, Shamshir. She raised her sword up without any expression. Lien's consciousness was fading away. But right at that time he could clearly feel someone's consciousness in the vortex of sequences.

"Joa...is that..you...?"

Chapter 3 : Empress Matin

Part I - A Nameless Village Deep In The Mangrove

Falo Credere Etincelle who was requested by Empress Matin to find her lost brother had found a very important clue from an information seller in the city of Falune. It was said that there was a boy who looked the same to Empress Matin in Panan Jungle and he was leading a secret legion there. Thinking it's believable, Falo went to the jungle and he finally found a small village that was never marked on the map. But we just can't call it a "village." They just cut the mangrove around and casually build some camp there.The villagers were all clothed in ragged wear,and they had hardly anything to eat.There was a whale of a difference between here and Novarista,the capital city of The Holy Kingdom.Let's just call it a slum or a rogue camp.

After looking carefully, Falo found that there were a lot of eastern people in this camp. They were called "Asem," the principal ethnic group of Azuelgatt. But The Kingdom Of Azuelgatt was already doomed and those people can do nothing but become tramps. But there were also many civilian people of The Holy Kingdom there. When Falo entered the camp, all the people threw there sharp eyes to Falo immediately. Several young people even drawed their sword and seemed to be attacking him. The atmosphere was charged with tension. At that time, a boy came out of the blue and broke the atmosphere.

"What happend?"

The boy was in gorgeous suit. Not only the suit but also he himself showed a noble air. He looked so beautiful, none would believe that he belonged to this kind of place.

"Who are you?Why did you come here?"

The boy walked to Falo and asked imperturbably.

After seing his face, Falo was shocked. Platinum blond long hair, big clear eyes, the boy was not only as beautyiful as his Empress Matin but had just the same face as her.

"Why so similar? Did I just see her in a mirror? It can't be. He must be the very brother of Empress Matin."

Falo could not be in any doubt about it. He had never seen two people look so similar

"Why are you so confused? Answer my questions!"

The boy was still young but his voice was dignified enough.

"The domination of The Holy Kingdom repulses me a lot. I had left the kingdom and want to be a free traveller. But after hearing about you and your legion, I came here to join you."

Of course, that was not Falo's true.The information seller told him to say that to the boy, or else he might fall into danger.

"Well you said that you wanted to join our force? It looks like you are a swordman, but you'd better not be a knight of the kingdom. Are you?"

In a flash, the boy drew his sword and raised it to Falo's neck.

"Things look nasty...they really are the rebels and the boy...he must be the leader of them."

Falo thought for a while. He decided to change the subject to confirm that whether the boy is surely the brother of Empress Matin.

"Well...do you have any brothers or sisters?"

"What are you talking about? Why would you ask such a question while there's a sword on your neck? Queer guy!"

The boy was surprised. But after a while he answered Falo seriously.

"People here are all brothers and sisters. Of course, I am one of them too. I had a sister before. She brought me up ,just like a mother. But now...she's gone. That's all the fault of the kingdom! And now I'm here with my new family. We share the same heart of hatred. How about my answer? Are you satisfied with it?"

Why was he sent away from Matin? Why did he lead a rebel force? Falo didn't know anything about the boy before. But now he knew two things. The boy did not know the existence of his real sister and he hated The Holy Kingdom very much because of the death of his step sister.

"Why it must be this way? The brother of my empress is not anyone but the leader of the rebel force! How could I tell such a cruel fact to her...?"

Falo almost had his heart broken. He loved his empress and never wanted to see her hurt. He could hardly imagine that what would happen after he told her everything because that would make his heart bleed.

"Why are you so sad? You are really a queer guy."

The boy sheathed his strange looking sword. He was so confused by Falo's action.

"Hey,wait! I don't want to sleep over. Now listen to me.Actually..."

Suddenly a strong man came out from the dark mangrove with a fat boar on his back.

"Hey, Nox! We can have a good dinner tonight. Look I've beaten such a big boar!"

"Welcome back, father."

Falo was shocked again. He knew the strong man very well. That's the previous leader of "Noi De Ragnia"(the royal guards), his dearest master,Adhuc. He had effaced himself from public more than 10 years, no one knew what happend to him. Why would he appear in such a place?

Before Falo opened his mouth, Adhuc quickly grasped Falo's body and took him to the deep dark jungle.

"Falo! What are you doing here! If your answer can not satisfy me, your life is gone."

"I wanted to ask you, master! Where have you gone these years? You are with the rebellion's force? Why? You were always called 'the only man' in the royal guards, right?"

"That's...all for the sake of Nox. If you are loyal to your empress, then you will understand me."

"Nox? That boy? Is he the brother of my empress? My empress wanted to meet him so badly. She was always worried about him. To repay the loving heart of my empress, I must take Lord Nox to her if he really is her brother."

"Falo...I won't say anything more. Leave here immediately. I know you are clever enough to know how much they hate the kingdom. You see, Nox is the one who hated the kingdom most. He was abandoned by the kingdom and even more, he had his beloved step sister and almost all his friends killed by the kingdom. Now no one could ever free his heart from hatred. Undoubtably that's all the fault of the kingdom. The kingdom has become corrupted throughout for hundreds of years, you know it!"

"But a royal knight must be loyal to his lord until his death. My life for my empress. If you are still a knight,you will understand."

"But you don't understand Nox's grief. If your justice is to stick to that puppet empress, then my justice is to stick to Nox. He has lost too many things but no matter what happens, he will never lose me."

"You forgot the rule of 'Trisagionid'! You can't be my respected master. You are not even a knight anymore. My master must have been died many years ago..."

The boy named Nox came to them, with a lot of people following him.

"What are you doing,father? Who is this guy exactly?"

"He is...a royal guard. He was sent here to investigate us. I was about to kill him with my sword,but...he happens to be one of my apprentices. I have changed my mind. Let him pass, for my sake. Will you?"

"What!? You really are a royal guard!?"

After hearing that, Nox lost all his grace in one second. He turned into a demon of hatred.

"Damn you!...only if my father requests it, I will let you go this time. But if you dare to pass my sight one more time, you die! Go and tell your puppet empress that her corrupted kingdom will soon be doomed by the judgement of justice! Then get out of my sight immediately!"

Falo was shocked for the third time by Nox's distorted face. He could not say one single word but leave there.

Nox's beautiful clear eyes, which were intended to be the same as Matin's were turing to bloody red.

Chapter 4 - The Island Of Fallarien, The Abandoned Paradise

About 700 years ago,not long after The Holy Kindom Of Noigllado was established, a strange plague struck the continent. The sufferers lost all their consciousness and memories and turned into zombie-like creatures. The King had no choice. He ordered everyone to hunt for the sufferers, send them to a big sailboat and then push the boat into the Swan Ocean. This way, the sufferers were abandoned by the continent and will no longer be remembered. Finally the boat arrived at an unmanned island far from the continent. The sufferers got down from the boat and began hovering on the island,just like zombies. Incidentally, a sufferer entered the forest and dropped into a spring. When he woke up he found that he regained his consciousness. Then he drew some water from the spring and spilled the water on everyone's body. This way, the sufferers were finally cured. But at last, their lost memories were not restored. Without knowing anything about the continent, without knowing that they were abandoned, without knowing Ristaccia, they began their new life on this island. They became the first islanders settled in this island. Before long, the islanders found that the spring was just marvelous. The spring water had some kind of magical power, it didn't only cure their diseases but brought a lot of miracles to them. It could make flowers bloom on wasteland. It could make bumper harvest every year. It could make people more clever. It could do almost anything. They used the spring water everyday and the spring never dried up.

Hundreds of years had passed. With the miracles gained from the spring, the islanders created a civilization centered on the spring. They named the spring "Lourdes" and believed in it. They thought that there was a god living in The Spring Of Lourdes and their happy life was all endowed by him. They always thanked the god for giving them a happy life. They also named the island "Fallarien," because it has the same meaning as the word "Paradise". Eventually, a religion was formed (and of course, it's similar to Christianity.They have church,monastery,and even pope).

At the same time, the completely formed Ristaccia Religion had controlled the whole continent. There wasn't a single person who didn't believe in Ristaccia on the continent. Two parallel civilizations were growing up separately, without knowing the existence of each other. This situation lasted about 700 years. One day, another miracle was brought to the islanders. An unmarried young girl was pregnant after drinking the spring water and one year later, right after giving a birth to a baby girl, she died. The islanders all believed that the baby girl was the daughter of Lourdes. They respected her as "The Holy Daughter". She was brought up in the monastery, receiving solicitude from everyone.

"Hannes" is the name given to The Holy Daughter.Everyone looked forward to get more miracles from her.

A cabin.
An old man sat before the desk.
A book full of words and an empty book were placed on the desk. It looks like that the old man was copying books with his feather pen.
But if you look carefully, you'll see that the old man wasn't copying the books carefully. He made many mistakes copying the book.
When he was done the copying, he burned the old book, took out another empty book and began copying again.The new empty book looked more luxurious than the old one.
Just like last time, he also made many mistakes copying the book this time.
Maybe these were not "mistakes". Maybe, the old man edited the articles on purpose.
After done the copying again, he began doing the same work once more.
The floor was full of ashes. The old man must have been repeating works endlessly.
Not knowing how many hours had passed, the old man was doing the same work all along.
But this time, things had changed.
When the old man copyed and edited the articles just like before, he found that the newly written articles began to fade immediately.
The old man was shocked. Looks like that he had never met this situation before.
He rewrite the edited article again but it soon faded again.
Only if he didn't copy the article exactly, the words would soon fade away.
The old man was so confused and angry about it. He left the cabin,with the troublesome new book in his hand.

A deep primeval forest.
Some kind of giant living creatures were in the forest. No one had ever seen them before.
Looks like that they were waiting for something to come.
Suddenly, a large fireball appeared in the sky. It was falling to the ground quickly.
After a short moment, the ground was devoured by fire and the sky was shrouded by dark clouds.
But the living creatures didn't get nervous at all. We can feel the serenity from their eyes.
Maybe they just didn't have enough wisdom to know what was happening to them.
But they could face their death silently, without fear.

A long chain hanging from the sky.
A youg girl was claiming up the chain. A beautiful apple was in her hand.
Lots of living things were being tied by the chain far below the girl.
They were so heavy that they made the chain wobble. The girl got nervous about that. She took out her sword out and cut the chain off.
The end of the chain fell down to the ground with the creatures tied by it.
Suddenly, a deluge burst over the ground. Everything on the ground was devoured.
The girl was gloating over this scene. A malicious laugh spread across her face.
Then she ate her apple with a satisfied smile.

Hannes woke up from the strange dream again.

She had had strange dreams every night these days.The dreams annoyed her much. She finally decided to consult the pope.

Chapter ?? : Turii

Once upon a time.

The eight pieces of Ristaccia were found.

And the eight races had having the secret power of Ristaccia awakened.

To balance the distorted stream of energy, the planet had been proded into action by Ristaccia.

Finally,a mystical giant tree was born on Island Turii.

And under that giant tree, once lived a special kind of race,"people of the stars".

They knew neither about the other eight races, nor about Ristaccia. They just lived there peacefully and quietly.

Different from the other eight races, they didn't even have qualia or sexuality. They were completely locked out of the gate called "mutation". Therefore, they will never bring imbalance to the world and also will never be imbalanced.

They kept their population stable and together with the giant tree, they had become the power of balance to counter the chaos power of Ristaccia.

Thanks to their existence, the planet was preserved from destruction after the Ristaccia War. Under the power of balance, at last, the once ruined earth was restored. All chaos were returned to great harmony once again.

But, good things will not last forever. An unexpected condition, finally, smashed the last hope for this planet.

Long long ago before the era of Nox and Matin, once on the eastern continent "Eijeek", there was a kindom named "Mashinowa". In that country, there was an academy named "Sazaragi" which mainly conducted research on prehistoric civilizations and lost technology of the ancients. Sazaragi had sent many thieves to explore almost every ruins in the world. If they could find something precious, they would be rewarded a large sum of money. So, in order to become a millionaire, a young thief decided to try his luck. He started his journey to Turii Island, wanting to find some hidden treasure there. After landed on the island, he found a drowning girl nearby. He tried his best to save that girl and succeeded.He thought he had done a good thing. But out of everyone's expectations that had become a turning point of mankind's history and made a great influence upon the whole world...

It's so much better to able to read everything on one page; the story ties in nicely this way. Do we have anymore theories about the story behind Raison D'etre? The title means 'reason for living,' by the way.

Sigma is essentially an amalgamation of the knowledge of the entire Rufina race before they sealed themselves away from the rest of the world. She's kind of like a living conciousness.

As for other Raison d'etre theories, I was kind of intrigued by D.J.JSRF's observation about Gijiri and Malchut. Perhaps he became near-immortal because of Ristaccia or perhaps he was sealed away at the Devils Lair in supsended animation by Indo and somehow was freed later. I wouldn't be surprised either if Malchut has a longer life cycle because of her being a Star Person.

But aside from Gijiri's mysterious role in everything, what bugs me more is the mystery of the whole Oroborous Project, but I don't think we will get any answers to anything related to this until much, much later, if at all. Does anyone else get the feeling that the project (or even Aria te'Laria and the Epic itself) is just an advanced simulation taking place at the D.A.L. Laboratories in our future headed by Joah? Or perhaps the Ristaccia Stone being an abandoned weapon project shot into space or something because of it being too powerful to handle? I don't know... but I'm looking forward to the song page on the SIRIUS website going up with great anticipation.
