Extra Stage in GOLD CS

Ok, I am having trouble getting the extra stage. The official page says this:

VANESSA: STANDARDモードの1～3ステージすべてを、RANDOM, MIRROR, 5KEYS, A-SCRすべてオフ(DPはBATTLEもオフ)で、すべてDJ LEVEL AA以上でクリアし、1～3ステージでクリアした譜面難易度の合計が10(DPは7)以上であれば 出現。

If my Japanese isn't too rusty, this roughly translates to: In standard mode clear 3 songs with a AA without using the RANDOM, MIRROR, 5KEY or ALL-SCR mod. If the combined difficulties are 10 or higher you will get vanessa.

Now, I did the following: I cleared 4 level 4's with a AA with nothing but a hispeed mod. 4x3 = 12 so this should qualify right? It didn't. I later tried the same with 4, 5, 6 level songs. Didn't qualify either.

Somebody have a clue as to what the problem could be?

There's a "10" there with "(DP 7)"

So im guessing the songs have to be 10* (7* for DP) or above?

No, people have gotten it with 8* songs so it really means that the difficulties combined should be 10* or over

Did you do it in lower to higher diff. (i.e 4, then 5, then 6)?

Try checking the "All we know about Gold" thread in case that doesn't work.

I did EXACTLY what the official site told me to do, that should work.

try putting it on HARD, I got at least Vanessa every time I played Standard mode, and I almost always play with HARD on, so give that a try.

You can't do it that way.

Not only do you have to have your ☆'s be over 10, but you have to fulfill the requirements on the last stage that gives you an extra stage.

For a 6, you have to FULLGREATCOMBO (yes I'm serious)
For a 7, you have to 100% Guage Clear
For an 8, you have to just clear the song.

Only then will you be able to open up extra stage.

And no, hard mode doesn't matter.

wait I am pretty sure I got Vanessa by playing songs under 6 and still get... or at least I thought i did.

Maybe because your last stage might be a level 5 and then you full comboed that song/stage.

I am not sure I will have to try to play low leveled songs again, and see what happens...

You need to meet extra stage criteria as well.

Edit: Oops didn't see Tora's post.

Anyway i think you can perfect combo a 4 and full combo a 5 to get an extra stage too

I believe the songs have to be increasing difficulty
I always get Vanessa + VIP room by AA hard mode
6* 7* and then 8* songs
without hard mode this only yeilds VIP room

I got Vanessa, but no matter what I try, I can't get a VIP Room to pop. I tried 5-6-7, all with As, and nothing. The 7 was with a full bar, so I did get the extra stage, but no VIP. I also tried getting As on 3 7s in a row.
