Similar to (yet opposite from) The Accomplishments Thread, in here we celebrate and embrace our failures, epic or otherwise.

• I've been playing since BMUS, and have only ever passed a handful of 9s.
  
• My ring and pinky fingers are incredibly frail, getting tired much faster than the rest of my hand. Retardedly, I still haven't learned to be flexible as far as what fingers I use where, and as such, songs with notes weighted towards keys 5+6+7 demolish me, since I hit 5+6 almost exclusively with my ring finger, and 7 exclusively with my pinky. That's my two weakest fingers covering three out of the seven keys. WTF.
  
• I continue to be ravaged by scales, fast or slow.
  
• I can't read G2 for shit.

My 86% clear of Quell [A] dropped to a 74% fail after all the notes were done scrolling.

I passed my first 11* last week and FCed my first 8*, and I still can't beat Gigadelic L7.

Uh dude, a couple of your problems (scales and 5+6+7 heavy stuff) can be addressed two ways:
1) Start playing 2 handed (you probably don't want to do this)
2) Modify your playstyle. Currently, you've probably got your thumb covering 1, your pointer for 2 and 3, middle for 4, ring for 5 and 6, and pinky for 7. You're passing 9*s in less than 3 years with that playstyle? Thats decent. My suggestion: Be willing to fold your thumb under your other fingers. My suggestion for how to handle scales:
1index 2middle 3thumb 4middle 5thumb 6ring 7pinky. Also, if you've only got a little bit to worry about with 1-3 range, just let your thumb handle it and move all your strong fingers way over to the 4-7 range. Pick a style, start with the 4*s, and move your way up, trying the radically different playstyle, at least 5 songs per difficulty. Even try a "thumb is never used to hit 1" playstyle. Its helpful to play a song or two like that now and again.


Edit: Oh, also: Go Beyond [H] - had 84% going into the final scratches, and bad comboed them, getting down to 72%, and additional notes got me back up to 76%. Haven't gotten close since then.

I cleared Battle Train [A] and it never got saved...luckily i have a video for proof lol

Same thing with No. 13 [A] but I don't have a vid for it

I also got a 76% fail on Steel Needle [A]

I also failed at Shouenzoku (?) - Cannibal Coast (a song I can consistently AA)...in my defense I did drink 6 beers and 8 shots of captain morgain

1. I FC'd my first 7 yesterday, and I can beat some 8s but Colors L7 & V L7 still kick my ass on a regular basis despite being 6s.

2. I can't beat songs like PARANOiA ~Hades~, Pluto, or Fascination Maxx L7 even with Easy turned on and Lifebar difficulty set to 1.

3. I've been playing since BMUS came out, and to date, I have only 2 AAAs to my name - quick master L7 & Claiomh Solais L7.

Don't feel too bad. It took me a couple of days to get used to TROOPERS' timing as well. I was passing songs with Cs and Ds left and right.

I can clear a few 10's.. more then 3/4th of all 9's... and i generally get fairly good grades... lots of AA's... (not on many 9's. i'm talking 8 and below)

But never a SINGLE AAA......

(level 3 songs and below don't count)

This makes no sense to me. DJ TROOPERS has possibly the easiest timing. It's spot on and even feels better to me than GOLD which I felt was really great too.

Back on topic, I still can't pass V [H]. I don't know when I'll pass it but I'm pretty close to an A and still haven't passed it. I love having high grades on songs but not being able to pass them. At one point, I almost (and when I say almost I mean less than 10 EX away) had a AA on in the Sky [N] and couldn't pass it. I finally did and it was amazing.
