There will be 2 different surveys based on your answer the for first question:
Is this your first time playing beatmania IIDX on an Arcade Machine?
Obviously the brunt of the answers for that will be no, but Konami wants to see this from both a IIDX player's side and a first time players side. This is the part where I want to give the people in the community a chance to focus on areas they feel may be important. What questions do you feel you would like to see answered in each category? This could be your chance to bring up a point you've been trying to bring up for a while, so if you guys have anything you'd like to see on the survey let me know!

We need to show Konami that we will make it make money in as many ways as possible, other than that, maybe a question about how easy the interface is to use or something, I definitely think the game could use slightly more explicit instructions as to how to use sudden+ and things like that, especially for an american audience that isn't necessarily already familiar with the game - maybe in beginner's mode if it's not already there?

Its a great idea. When KONAMI realises how much money people will pump into that machine, that might give them a second reason to release arcade versions in the US.
Also on the sheet put hometown and state. I know some people travel down there to play some bemani, this will also give KONAMI another reason to release GOLD in the US.

Once they see that idiots like me travel 1600 miles to play IIDX, they will hopefully realize that they could make this huge over here with hundreds (?) of dedicated gamers.

Total Tokens: 915.14 Donate Tokens | Here's a list of questions I came up with to gage various areas of interest for both Konami and Betson on a basic level. Most of these could have a scale of 1-5 or "Yes, Somewhat, Know" answer basis. You should request that all players fill this out. If you can find a way to set up a computer with a form system that would record responses you'd probably save yourself a lot of time in the end, but that might also be beyond capabilities and take more time up front.
Section 1- Easy for beginners/casual players?
1. How familiar are you with the game?
2. If you did not previously know how to play Beatmania, how clear did the game make the instructions?
3. How easy were the menus/interface to understand and navigate?
Section 2- Overall market response
4. How much did you enjoy the music on a scale of 1 to 5?
5. How much did you enjoy the gameplay on a scale of 1 to 5?
6. How much did you enjoy the overall experience on a scale of 1 to 5?
Section 3- Potential of US Market
7. How much would you pay for one round of Beatmania?
8. How many times a week would you play Beatmania?
9. How many rounds would play on each visit, or, how much money would you spend on each visit?
Section 4- Potential for community/competition
10. Would you play Beatmania with a stranger at the arcade?
11. Would you invite friends to play Beatmania with you at the arcade?
Section 5- Sizing existing market and fan base
12- What City and State are you from?
13- Did you travel to TGA in order to play Beatmania?
14- Do you own and console versions of Beatmania?
Section 6- Arcade Owners Only
15- Would you purchase Beatmania for your arcade?
16- How much would you pay for Beatmania?
Here are some more in depth questions you can ask--aimed more towards players who were very interested and will take the time to fill it out. Request open response on Audio quality, Video quality, Machine aesthetics, Interface effectiveness and aesthetics, Usefullness of features/modes, Song choice, Chart difficulty, Timing and syncing issues. Suggest specific responses to things such as menu sounds, color options, interface placement, even the machine height (is it too tall for short players? Too short for tall players?), button sensitivity, and selectable modifiers. This will probably effect the next release more than Gold, but it gives Konami a further idea of what needs to be fixed.

I find the 5-key songs to have more diversity and overall enjoyability.

Surely, they won't think that every person that responds that they would pay $20 per week would do so. Even if the people who respond are supposedly good for these kinds of financial commitments, how would konami been able to know that they are? I suppose if nothing more, the people who respond show a greater enthusiasm for the game than those that do not, but I can't help but feel that there might be a better way of showing it.

I find the 5-key songs to have more diversity and overall enjoyability. | i agree that IIDX has deviated somewhat from its original intentions... but im pretty happy where it has gone though. IIDX couldnt possibly stay in that genre forever, it just evolved into the awesomeness it is today.
also, im just wondering what it is konami is looking for that will greenlight IIDX in the US.

I mean I totally would like to play a popular/unpopular American hiphop, rap, whatever song on IIDX with sum fat beatz, because I personally think it would be fun.
