Marketplace Rating: 2 | hiphopmania upgrade question alright, I finally decided to start saving up some money. I figured I would save up for a hiphopmania machine thats for sale. Its nice thats it a Complete Mix 2, but I will still want to upgrade it to a beatmania mix, like the Final. But is it possible to do on a U.S. machine?
Thats it. You can lock this thread once I get a answer.

Marketplace Rating: 13 | Any beatmania kit can be swapped with any kit. Hiphopmania complete mix 2 does not contain all the songs of beatmania complete mix 2. I have kits from 2nd - 7th, and my machine was an "American" machine - they are all the same. As for the final - good luck! It is better to find a machine with the final already. I have been looking for a final kit for a long time.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | If you can find a Beatmania III The Final and you have the money you should definitely get that instead

Marketplace Rating: 13 | BMIII the final is ULTRA RARE - - - compared to Beatmania the final which is fairly rare. If Arcade Infinity ever sold their machine I would be first in line - with several thousand (probably more) dollars).
BMI the final (which has the same songs) can be found for 400 - 500 dollars.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | But BMIII has much better hardware (better than IIDX at the time, minus the DVD drive), a foot pedal (and therefore Foot ver. songs), a floppy disk to save your scores, and unlockables (like Sozai mode [aka free mode])
Which is why, if he can find it, and if he has the money, he should get BMIII The Final rather than BM The Final
Or, for that matter, the BMIII counterpart to any Beatmania from 5th Mix up (BMIII = BM 5th Mix)

Marketplace Rating: 13 | I definitely agree if the money was there beatmania III the final would be a better machine - the problem again is BMIII's are nearly impossible to find, and for every machine that goes on sale, there are 5 people who want it.
BMI may not be as "pretty" but the game play is the same (minus the foot pedal and saving scores). The only real difference between the two is the Beatmania III exclusive songs (a very few).

BM III The Final has a nearly complete collection of songs from all previous mixes, while BM I The Final has several glaring omissions (Nine Seconds, Queen's Jamaica, Jazz A Pump Up, Drumfunk, and basically everything from Club Mix minus Disco Dancing )

Marketplace Rating: 13 | That is probably due to the limitation on the hard drive space on the beatmania I machine. I don't remember Beatmania III the final including nine seconds. With a beatmania I machine you can still obtain a complete mix 1 kit which includes the missing songs from 2nd and 3rd mix... I guess beatmania III the final is a slightly more complete song list...
Of course complete mix 1 does not include high speed settings...

Marketplace Rating: 2 | I would totally get a beatmania III, but there is no way i can afford it. I have 2 offers right now...
hiphopmania complete mix 2>$900.00
beatmania 3rd Mix>$823.00
I almost bought a core remix before, but I choose to buy a PS3 instead. That was a BIG mistake.
I dont think i could afford, none the less FIND a beatmania III machine for the same price of a beatmania I. I also found a few other arcade machines for cheap as well, so i am saving up some money.

Marketplace Rating: 13 | If you were to buy the 3rd mix machine, and found a "complete mix 2" or other kit to upgrade, I would buy the 3rd mix kit from you ---> you would be better buying a complete mix 2 or final off the bat though

Marketplace Rating: 3 | I vaguely remember reading on the GameFAQs Bemani/Rhythm board several years ago, that the sound quality on BMI:F wasn't very good, but BMIII:F sounded much better. Something about hard drive space was mentioned. This may also be why BMI:F is missing several songs.

A III is VERY rare to find in the U.S., and even if I do ever find one, it will not be a pretty price. I already have to either pick up the beatmania machine (or hiphopmania, but it looks like I am going to get the beatmania 3 one if anything, but not for a while). then i will upgrade it to whatever I find. I did fond 2 7th's for $200 each, I was thinking about it, but lets look at YAJ.

Marketplace Rating: 13 | You would be better looking at YJA - BTW 7th mix is a great kit, and 200.00 is not a bad price (it has 60 songs)
I still offer to buy the 3rd mix kit from you if you find an upgrade - that is one of the few kits I am missing...

I have a few things to buy already. I also need a laptop (I may be doing foreign exchange Next year, and I want to still use a computer), so I have to still call the place back (thats has 3rd), and check out what the machines condition is. However I have seen HipHopMania, and its fine, its just VERY far away.
