How exactly do you get an extra stage...

Ok, so I have BMUS, Happy Sky, and Gold. I've gotten some ES on Happy Sky, but can't figure out the OMES, and I can't figure out how to get ES on Gold at all.

I've only been playing IIDX for a year, and there is little info on Gamefaqs about it, so if you guys could help me out, it would be really cool.

OMES usually requires that you AA the extra stage-specific song on another with HARD mode on, no random. I'm pretty sure the requirements differ from style to style, though. They like to change it up every now and then.

I've managed to get to extra stage in Gold by just passing one higher difficulty song... usually in the 9/10 range

The VJArmy wiki has TONS of information on all the styles. You can search for CS <style> to get all the data on the console version (or AS for the Arcade).

There wasn't anything on the OMES for HS there, but from what I can recall of past styles (though never able to GET it myself), it's pretty much always been A or AA the Extra Stage on Another with Hard.

I can answer on the ES for GOLD.

This how I regularly get it when I'm in the arcade.

Only play songs that are level 7 and above.

Then for the last stage, you're last song must AT LEAST be a level 8.*

When you've satisfied those conditions, then you can get the VANESSA extra stage...

*You can also play a level 7 song.....but you'd need to full combo it and that by the end of the song, you're gauge must be at 100%.

7's don't need to be full comboed, that's for 5's and 6's. Vanessa extra stage requires all AA's and at least 10 total difficulty for Normal, 20 for Hyper, 30 for Another. VIP Room just needs 21 total difficulty.

HS OMES: A+hardclear scream squad nonrandom on another.
GOLD OMES: A+hardclear vanessa nonrandom on another or A+hardclear a vip room song on another nonrandom. you can only get the vip omes if you've gotten the mark for all 3 rooms, though.

To unlock Scream Squad on Happy Sky you have to play songs of ascending difficulty and your last song has to be a 10 or higher on another. All have to be hard cleared with an A or above. Then you hard clear SS with an A or above to get Mei Another. You can't play with random/mirror/5keys/auto scratch. So basically the only thing you can use is speed mods and sudden +.

However

I'd have to disagree on the requirements you posted.

You cannot access Vanessa extra stage if you play any song that is below level 7 (which logically implies that your total difficulty will never be below 21).

Heck I've tried this many times on the local GOLD machine near my house (version code JAA : 2007040600 with BEAT#1) and I tell you that even if you AA DoLL [h], you still won't be able to get Vanessa extra stage.

Unless something is really wrong here (which I doubt).......
