How exactly does one time themself on Gambol[a]?

I mean, Blocks[a] leaves me at around 10-20%, which is mainly how I die. ._.

practice the 7k to get a feel for the timing. it only helps somewhat though, I've AA'd the 7k and only A'd the [A]. just concentrate on every note, act as if you're playing a chart that's difficult due to actual note density as opposed to strict timing windows. IIRC each note hit successfully gives you back 2% life, although this may not be the case in expert mode. I'd venture the course is harder to clear than the song, so using 5K AS might be a good idea if you want to unlock it.
