Marketplace Rating: 0 | How to hold the controller So, uh.. I have yet to find a comfortable position to hold the controller. I've tried leaning back in my rocking chair but the arms make my reflexes slower than they would be.
Also, where on the controller should my hands be? I'm having a bitch of a time on 2's and 3's with this thing when I could easily clear 8+ using a dual shock. It's frustrating.

As for hand placement, it depends if you're playing 1-hand on keys, 1-hand on turntable, or playing both hands on keys, and pinky scratching.
If you're two-handing it, then it's suggested usually to have the hand on the left to worry about the left most 2-3 keys [key 1, 2, and/or 3], and your right hand primarily working on the right 4-5 keys [keys (4,) 5, 6, and 7].

There is no right or wrong way to play. Play how you feel comfortable. Practice.

It's kind of small, the top is covered in plastic wrap when you buy it to hold all of the packing information in (I forget the brand), but its just wide enough to hold a IIDX home version controller.
It costs 10 bucks, is made of a light colored wood, and is a folding variety table. Very stable.
On top of that, I would recommend going to bed, bath, and beyond, or a similar store, and look for a gripping material. It's sort of a thin rubber mat, that comes in a roll. You can pull out as much as you need, and cut it, and apply whereever you need grip. An entire roll of the stuff costs like 5 bucks, and it does a wonderful job at giving the controller enough grip to stay on the table. In fact, I've been able to comfortably seat an official Konami ASC on the table, centered on the grip pad, and that thing didn't budge an inch, even if the actual corner grips on the controller weren't touching the table surface.
In other words, 15 bucks of investment to stabilize and hold your controller in place while you play is very simple to do, and should take about 30 minutes of your time.

This what the material on the table looks like so you can get an idea of the texture of it.
My dao actually doesn't need the material, since the grips on it are plenty strong, but the grip material is necessary for popn minicons, and beatmania KOC's. The defacto grips on the controllers themseleves don't seem to be enough to really keep the controllers from moving around.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | 1) Get a TV tray or stand.
2) Get duct tape and put it on the tray to grip the controller.
3) Take the controller and smash your face into it.
