Lately I noticed that my game locks up whenever I want to play the 5 key revival songs. Well the turntable still works and so do setting speed mods and effectors. But the song will never load up. Just stays on the screen with the song title in the video spot.
There have been a few instances before where it does load after some time, but then I noticed the generic video pausing every few seconds while the song plays. Then when the songs over, I wait a while for the results, longer than usual.
Anyone know what the cause of this is? Because I enjoy playing these songs sometimes and I don't want to have to stop playing them. I do take good care of my games.

It may or may not be an issue with a bad disc. You may want to look into a possible replacement from wherever it was purchased. | |

your disc may be damaged, or Your PS2 (less likely considering it only does it to part of the game).
Like stated before try to make a copy and boot it if possible, if you cant well, try cleaning the disc at the very least. | |

It is a legal copy. I think I got it from play asia.

test another game? I have played a few of my other iidx games a few weeks ago and they ran just fine. Or on another ps2? Well that seems like a lot of trouble to go through since i use a fliptop.

It's pretty uncommon for it to happen, but it does happen every once in a while. I usually see maybe 1 or 2 people that have this complaint with every release. ITT you should do what was suggested above and try to return in exchange for another.

It happens, whether or not your copy is burnt. I've had it happen on Red to Distorted so far, on legit copies of the games. Just try to make sure that your games and maybe the laser are in good shape. | |

My RED copy did this - I replaced it with a new copy... it had one redial scratch which did it on INORI, in love again, etc.

i get that problem on all my iidx games when i try to play from the disc, that's why i put them on a hardrive and use hdloader to play em now | |
