Marketplace Rating: 0 | I hate my local arcade owner! Argh i hate my local arcade owner... he owns two arcades...one close to me and one far away...beyond my local city central. Now we used to have beatmania sixth style...then we swapped it for THE FINAL. Now his other arcade has happy sky. Now, one day it turns out that our beatmania THE FINAL had been sold. Needless to say I was pissed off.
However one day I see the manager and ask him why he got rid of it...apparently he MOVED it to the other arcade...which already has HAPPY SKY! When i asked what the point was he said "well...theres....its better...there's an asian neighbourhood nearby." F***ing racial stereotypes (mind you he's white). He just assumes asian people are born with rhythm games in their blood. Thats ridiculous there is no difference between people of different backgrounds. everyone has an equal chance of being poor at IIDX as they do at being great.
Nowadays I have to travel almost an hour on weekends just to play IIDX 10th style in the city, do i cant practice much at all. That and i use the right hand side, which has a really loose turntable, and when i spin it, it doesn't stop so when i scratch back it just stops.
RANT MODE OFF
But seriously..don't you just hate stereotypes?

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I hate stereotyping, but you have to admit, Asians tend to play more of it because it gets around the community a lot faster (and easier) than through a "White" community. For instance, how many "white" people listen to Japanese pop music?
And, yes, I am Asian...

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Dude, where do you live? I would almost kill something to have one of those machines an hour drive away as well. I've heard that the nearest one from where I live (Chicago) is in like Michigan somewhere. BTW, I do happen to be asian as well, but don't feel offended for some odd reason.

Be thankful for what you do have imo.

I would kill to be in your situation.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Same. Me and rmz only have MGS in AZ, and that's 40 minutes for me. And it's only RED, hot HAPPY SKY. My verdict: corperate sucks, live with it. Just take the insentive and drive out there. HAPPY SKY is better anyways.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Ha, well Cleveland Ohio is NOWHERE NEAR ANYTHING! lol We JUST got a DDR MAX2 machine in movie theater a few months ago and as far as I know, our main arcade places all closed... NO WAIT! There is Davd&Buster's, but there's no kind of IIDX there as far as know of although that'd be a great place to have one. Oh well. I don't even know where the nearest one is. The only IIDX I've ever seen in Cleveland is the on in stores and the ones I play on my PS2. No AC nowhere. Be happy you can even see one in real life.
