Myself, I only started early this month, and a couple of weeks later, I can pass stuff like Outer Limits, Jelly Kiss, Mobo*Moga and Snow on Normal.

Still...songs like M-02STP.VER1.01 [Normal] destroy any sense of rhythm I might display.

I've been playing for over two years, but I still consider myself an amateur... Only ever passed three 7-stars and my skill capped out at that. Don't really have a problem with it ^^ Only ever got a handful of AA's, no AAA's ever (except US, but that doesn't count). I mostly only play Light-7 5-6's and 7-key 6's and under.

It's the pre-Happy Sky difficulty Japanese name for normal.

I'm a noob myself but from the versions I played, beginner back then was 5 key mode... hehehehe.

i just recently got into playing alot of 14 key
so i guess im a beginner again currently stuck in the 6star L14/5star 14k relm

it did, but it has been done differently and isnt really one of the main difficulties except in the US version

For me, it feels like my skill has plateaued or somethipng. I really can't pass very many 9's. But sometimes there are those unusual events where I play extremely well.

I'm still an amatur after 2 1/2 years of playing, hardest song i've passed is OML [7]. Sadly I find myself enjoying some of the L7 charts and am content with playing those because they're fun.

I'm a amatuer still. I don't know fd it's normal or not, but I'm at 5*7key and moving on to 6*7k. I've made a couple of As here and there too. I've been playing since the 10th came out last fall.

@_bloop the L7 notecharts are fun, but I found that I grow more in my IIDX skills by playing 7k. 7k or [a] forces you to play in positions you wouldn't normaly do in L7. I don't know if this is related, but my timing went up dramticaly when I started focusing more on 7k.

Beginner has been around since 5th style CS and 9th Style AC. In all versions, other than BMUS, Beginner was always it's own seperated mode.

Yes, like you guys, I still regard of myself as an IIDX amateur. I've been playing since last year (I basically stayed in Beginner). Right now, I'm at Normal and I have noticed that I can only play the slow songs --actually, <110 BPM, Normal 3Stars (specifically, desolation, Think of Me, Glorious Days, Remember You, along with Level 1 except for Macho Gang). The funny part is that I don't use the towel on slow songs, but I still haven't gotten my drift anything 110 BPM & up.

As for the grades, I still haven't gotten an A & up, however, I compensate it through the gauge with 80% in normal play. My Great Attack sucks and it's being swarmed by Goods and below.
