a 'family in need', atleast for me, doesn't explain enough to want to donate; could be a family who lost everything due to uncontrollable circumstances or hell it could be a family who just lost their last source of benefit income and need some money to pay for their dinner while they remain seated infront of their tv screen. But the empress marathon you speak about does sound exciting to me and will be sure to watch.

Oh, if you want details, I can give you that.
There's a family out there who basically can not pay their bills. They have a sick grandmother living with them who they can not support because her money is being taken by a third party that I will not bring into this. The mother is getting stressed and can not handle things the way they are now, and they have a daughter they have to take care of as well. They are a very nice family, and deserve a nice helping hand to show that people do care about them.
And of course you can watch the show if you don't donate, donating is just a nice option for those who are able to =]
