But I don't know for sure, but I hope they get it... | I don't see many arcades with PIU.

That's because you live in California | I can't figure out the damn multi-quote feature...BUT isn't PIU slightly larger in Mexican/Spanish gamers? Most of the videos I see are in Spanish/Portuguese language. Thus, wouldn't Cali have a slightly large base of PIU machines/players? My dad does business out there a lot and mentions the slightly large population of Mexicans that the West Coast has...
Not a racist jab by any means, for the record. More of just an insightful question.

To me it seems as though for Beatmania's first releases in America, they should just be trying to break even (maybe make a little profit), but they shouldn't expect to make the same types of profits in America as they would in Japan. By going through Betson (who certainly has a lot more to lose on Beatmania than Konami would if they dealt with American arcades first hand) it would seem they are raising prices for American arcades and risking the chance of Beatmania getting over here at all. It seems to me as though they should look more long term and try to get Beatmania established for now, then worry about making it a big money making machine.
I mean, just look at the most successful games, and even movies, that have ever been made. My favorite example is Disney--if Cinderella, Snow White, or The Little Mermaid hadn't done well in box offices there would be no more Disney. Of course, these are three of the films which are legacies of the company today. I understand that there's a good chance Beatmania won't make it over here, but Konami should be able to afford to risk it. Of course, Betson can't, and it will never happen, but Komani should just start taking care of their own games, regardless of where in the world its being released.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.
IMO
DJ MAX WOULD DO BETTER IN THE US THAN BEATMANIA IS DOING!
Why?
It's easier
You don't need a big friggin' controller to play it.
Songs that more people can get used to easier.
Its on a region free system (PSP)
Oh yeah... and on the 2nd one you can change it to English so it looks like it came out in the US.
I'm still hoping for beatmania... but really, I think Konami's sort of like, "Hey, IIDX did good here, let's port it to the US. But if it doesn't do good, oh well. We got Japan so we're not worried.
I also noticed that the other IIDX knock-offs are in more than one language while IIDX is only in Japanese.
Ok, I'm done runnig my mouth....

Well yeah... true...
And as good a point as I made, DJ MAX didn't have a location test, IIDX did. So... I really hope this oes well...
(Although I wish DJ MAX Portable was in the US, but that's another topic.)

Oh yeah... and on the 2nd one you can change it to English so it looks like it came out in the US. | What's the point then? It's region free and very international friendly, hell even two of the PC online versions are fairly international friendly, excluding Korea for obvious KSSN issues (the Chinese version is considering translating all news into English).
IIDX is an arcade game, it's different for IIDX than DJMAX.
