I wouldn't call because I don't want to fuck anything up by not adding certain details and sounding like i'm just a fanboy.

I'm assuming most people are this way too.

only if they have an anxiety disorder. customer feedback is accepted as customer feedback, I wouldn't fret about sounding enthusiastic about the game. unless you're extremely obsessive about it in ways that surpass rationality

I am going to call in a minute

...just left a message for Corey haines, the VP (which is where the girl that answered that phone number blindy transferred me) that went into pretty good detail. I will post here if I get a response. Numbers may make this happen people, so get on it!

I can call and get others to do the same. But it's not exactly close to me, so I can't just go down there every weekend, but I can say that I'll be there and that there is a pretty large fanbase for the game. I can also add in that a PS2 version came out and dispite what reviews said, it sold really well. I'll either call or email or both.

You think that's a good thing to say? I don't wanna screw it up.

Of course, just stress that there is a large fanbase and that they are typically fanatics that will spend around $10 a day on it (per person) or something to that effect. Mention that you heard the D&B reps really liked the game at the Las Vegas show, the successful location tests, etc. Just ham it up!

I am at that "say anything to get them to sleep with you" stage

$10 a day is nothing. on days when i would have to travel 2 hours to play IIDX, i would spend upwards of $30-40 on IIDX alone, not counting refreshments etc. don't forget that people new to the game are probably going to be spending more than the experienced players, as long as they aren't turned off by the learning curve.

Plus, most D&B patrons have the cash to spend....and they will probably be buying drinks and food as well

A plus to add in there when you call is that the machine is plenty loud for the player but the sound from it is relatively maintained within the machine's proximity. I don't know how else to put that but it's quite a big plus.

Haha - in response to the 10 bucks a day thing, I spent that much on a casual trip to the Gold machine. When I go on a serious run of gaming (I did this back in my DDR prime), I'd spend 20 bucks easy. On a IIDX machine at D&B, I'd get a 40-50 dollar card on a trip and spend probably 40-50 on the machine.

That does not help really. It's how well received it'll be by the random Joe that'll put their money in to try it. Revenue in places like D&B generates from more primarily from them.

Good point. I think some facts will help as well. Is there anyway I could get like a fact sheet of how much was spent on the GOLD at BZ or the turn out of people or reaction of newcomers to the game. Also the sales info from the USA CS version. Or can I somehow optain a responce that other IIDX machines here in the USA got or how much people payed to play those? I think that will do an extreme ammount of good verses just saying, "Oh, everyone loves this game so you should buy it to."

When my friends tell me about a game, I go do research on the nets and stuff to see how good it really is. So IMO, I'd think it would help to show them some solid facts so they can see how good it actually is.

Just adding in, if D&B does actually put in IIDX, I would suggest playing it drunk one night.

It's more fun than it sounds. <_<

Anywho, I'm going to ask the D&B people today, and write a letter to HQ later.

I'm sorry, I just had to comment that I can't believe this sh!t is actually taking off! Kudos to everyone who has already called in. I'll be honest, I was skeptical about anyone getting any kind of response, but with this kind of reception, you can bet your ass that I'm gonna be droppin' a line to D&B mah-damn-self. Keep it up!
