Default IIDX with Pop'n ASC?

Am I the only person who finds this extremely entertaining? I don't even bother to play with the IIDX controller anymore. Right now my best pass is Poodle Hyper (Which I even beat my IIDX controller score with the ASC)

Currently trying to get in OML. I came out with a measly 46% my first try, but on-topic: Does anyone else really play with the ASC?

I only tried a few weeks ago with it. I have no problems clearing up to 10s with it. I'm probably better at IIDX than pop'n with it.

I think I am the only one that thinks pop'n = pop'n, and IIDX = IIDX.

Y'know, some of you may be surprised to hear this, but I actually tried this a couple of times. Actually kinda fun if scoring isn't a big issue, and quite a workout, too.

My problems, unfortunately, is that my PM controller is the official baseline cheapo one (which Konami nonethelessl feels justified in charging 60 bucks for), and for pretty much anything higher than a 5, my hands simply can't move fast enough to get to all the notes.

I salute everyone who's managed to get double duty out of a PM controller and realized that a great game is a great game. Me, I'm happy with my joystick.

Never tried it and have no desire to. Just like I've never used the pop'n skin in HS. The two shouldn't mix imo.

Just after typing that I realized I like IIDX much more than pop'n. If there was a way to import the pop'n songs into IIDX, I'd gladly play them on my PE.

I've tried it vice versa. I played Pop'n with my IIDX controller, and it sucked.

Seeing how the IIDX controller is lacking a button (if you count the turntable), Yeah, i'd think it would suck.

It's just amusing that Konami would add native support for a pop'n controller.

The PlayStation pop'n music games allowed for full support with the IIDX controller by having a 7-line mode that puts the two corner buttons on autoplay. It's all in the past now, though.

I actually play IIDX more with the pop'n controller than with my beatmania US controller. It's the only way the game actually strikes me as fun to play.
