Default IIDX as a stress reliever

Am I the only one? Or do others use IIDX (or music games in general I suppose) as a stress reliever? Ironically, I just found out that a girl I was falling in love with (and whom I thought was falling in love with me) doesn't want a relationship and may possibly be "hooking up" with her best friend (a guy) sometime soon.

It's times like these in which I look to IIDX to "scratch my troubles away" Whenever something happens and I start feeling like I wanna punch a wall, I CALMLY pop in IIDX and beat the sh*t out of my scores...It really does help me. I was just wondering if anyone else feels this way too. It really beats doing "other things" that I'd most likely regret later on...

Eh. I guess if you do well it can work, but if could easily have a negative effect. Pop'n is probably better for stress relief.

No, pop'n could be negative too. But what's nice about Pop'n is that you can play songs far below your skill level and still have fun.

Damn, it IS emo. And I don't like being emo!! Anyway, I've never played Pop'n but it does look like it be nice for stress relieving too 'cause of all the full hand slaps/pounds and stuff.

It's a stess reliever as long as you don't play songs that are too hard for you, which that will cause stress and frustration.

Alot of times I will become extremely angry with IIDX because I'm trying to clear songs that I haven't yet and am having troubles with. In that case it's most definately not a stess reliever. But when I am just playing for fun it will work.

I wasn't in a very good mood today. Playing IIDX just made me realize that games don't help me when i'm not in a good mood.

The did feel more emotion towards the music, but overall play didn't help me.

It varies with people.

Yeah, I'm just now beginning to 1) see how very emo I am and 2) notice that it can also just cause more frustration when you don't pass a song...In any case, I guess it does vary with everyone. For the most part with me, I concentrate more on what I'm playing because I don't want to think about whatever else was going on that day...and I usually end up getting higher scores.

Hell no. IIDX frustrates me too much to relieve stress. I play Pop'n (banging large ass buttons to motherfucking Des-ROW) and Taiko No Tatsujin (beating the shit out of a plastic drum to, uhh, anime themes XD) for that.

I find IIDX more of a negative thing most of the time, cuz you're pissed about not clearing a song, or just doing terrible, but it's also very fun, so it works both ways.

Stress relief, eh?

This one was from playing DDR Strike on a controller (could NOT AAA the new MaxX song, and got pissed).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If it isn't clear, IIDX doesn't do much for me when it comes to stress. It actually amplifies it by about 5.73 BAJILLION TIMES.
