Does anybody know where i can find IIDX and Pop'n upgrade kits for cheap. An arcade called 8 on the Break is looking for Trooper and Pop'n music 16 PArty upgrade kits. Can anyone help me out? | |

Weren't they the ones who wanted to sell their Distorted machine on ebay (because their establishment was running out of floor space)??? Or was it some other arcade?

Your best bet would be coinopexpress.com
But the best option IMHO
Look for Hit Style Limited Hong Kong (official distributor of Konami arcade/amusement products in Hong Kong) Hit-Style Ltd.
The current product on offer is beatmania IIDX DJ Troopers Asian Version. Good news is that it is already beat#3 by default (no need to connect to eamuse or any network for it).
So all the hidden stuff like Time to Air, Mendes, Icarus, My generation, etc. is there. 
As for popn though....
Hit Style only sells brand new machines for 16th Party (as Pop n music only launched in Other Asia three months ago........so it is relatively new to this region.)

The florida location is The Nexus. 8 on the Break is in New Jersey or thereabouts.
Sorry, but new upgrade kits don't really come "cheap", even from not-so-legit sources. You have to pay good money to keep up-to-date in the US. | |

I hope that 8 on the B is ready to shell out some more extra cash for this.
I say this as this may not be enough.
However I can tell you one thing.
Shipping costs from Hong Kong is CHEAPER than shipping costs from Japan.
As well the virtually lower taxes and surcharges.
So if ever, then I suggest that you give Hit Style Limited an e-mail.

you can also wait until Empress comes out, and wait for people to sell their used kits on Yahoo Auctions Japan. That is when you will see them at their lowest except for years from now. | |

Product lineup is complete and a lot in quantity (in fact that's where we got our GFDM V4 machines brand new asian version).
Plus service is also quite good (better than coinopexpress imho) so no worries
