Or does it feel like the announcement for 2dx16 is just a little late?

There should be a loc test coming up soon, but i've seen or heard nothing..

Others thoughts??

Wednesday or Thursday (Tuesday or Wednesday in the US) are the days new games are usually announced though.

Seriously, though, what with Jubeat already in a pre-release stage (and looking pretty impressive so far, IMO), three new console DDRs coming out, Rock Revolution in development, various PoMu Party promos, hammering out songs/videos/a new album for the revamped BeForU, etc., it's possible that the Bemani plate is just really full right now. I should add that IIDX is a lot fuller and more advanced than even a couple of years ago (which is great), and every new skin or intro medley is more work.

I'm more concerned that we've heard nothing on the Gitadora CS front. I don't really believe they've given up again, but a bit of news every so often would be nice.

That's funny, I was just thinking about when 16 would be announced when I got on. I think it's arround that time for the initial announcement, but who knows...

The one in bold should be taken off, as they're not Konami territory anymore.

Also, don't forget that pop'n 15 CS hasn't been announced yet. I still think it's too soon for V4 CS. (It should be announced hopefully next month)

I hope that the fact IIDX 16, new AC DDR, V4 CS or pop'n CS does not mean that Bemani is dead.

IIDX 16 upgrading to new hardware is a valid excuse for me on why it's not yet announced.

I'm not really worried about 2dx, I am a little concerned about pomu15cs. But they did that whole be-mouse thing so maybe that has something to do with it?

I know for a fact that some tracks for IIDX16 have been done for months now, some artists are even starting to work on new CS stuff for IIDX15. So I'm pretty sure that this EMPRESS announcement has some weight to it.

Curious about this too. It's been a while since Konami has done a double CS release in one year, and with these new details about IIDX16, is there a chance for IIDX15 CS to be released later this year?

RED CS is released in May, 2006. And HS CS is released in Dec, 2006. The time gap between the two styles is about 7 months. But the next two styles, DD and GOLD, are all released about 8~9 months after the previous one. Thus I think TROOPERS CS will be released spring 2009.

Don't take what I said as confirmation. It's just stuff I've been told in passing during casual conversation. Just because an artist is working on a new song doesn't mean that anything is coming anytime soon, or that the game is confirmed.
