It's a 32" Samsung 720P LCD HDTV, model LN32A330. Samsung - 32" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV - LN32A330
It seems to have NO lag on IIDX 11 that I can tell... but again, I may just be used to it.

Especially if you get the "LATEST" models (PY800/PZ800 and PY850/PZ850 models):
Basically what's shown here:

------------------------------
Though personally....
The thought of Samsung Series 3?
Granted, I don't even think that for the new global model line (aka. Series 3,4,5,6,7,8,9), they improved on the image scaler for that thing (and I don't think they made much improvements to DNIe......which we just turn off).
I dunno.
-----------
Granted, I also have a Samsung as well.
Bordeaux Plus (aka. R81)
All I can say is that if you use composite cables on this thing (even with game mode on), the lag, the delay and the timing of that thing is so bad when playing BM IIDX........that you could actually fail easier (when doing it on a CRT TV).
Granted, ULTRACARL has the same set that I have (except he uses North American version with built-in digital tuner.....supporting ASTC) and he manages to still pass tons of songs on RED (with AA ranks and shit).
It's unbelievable that he can adjust to something like that.

With game mode on, the lag was decrease to almost none. There is two of tv model, one with the lamp and one with LED. I only tested with the lamp. I would post up the video but I have no cable for the camcorder except AC. | |

I dunno why (must be probably due to it being out longer than the two......thus means they perfected it long ago).
Granted, it's a dying breed as an HDTV.....simply because of its fat ass and weight issues.
Heck, even Sony has given up on their SXRD production and will not venture into the RPTV sector anymore after 2009.

Most MODERN plasmas should have no lag, but it probably all depends on how many extra features they have regulating image quality.
I use component cables for my ps2, and don't play with any timing adjustments or progressive modes or anything. I use the exact same settings I had on my old TV, which was a Sony WEGA CRT.
Edit: this is cnet's page on the model I have Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ700U Flat-panel TV reviews - CNET Reviews and it is probably still available in limited quantities. The 700u is the '07 model I believe, while the 800u is the '08.

Thanks very much indeed for providing neat feedback on plasma TV performance in regards to these games.
Very much appreciated

Total Tokens: 215.89 Donate Tokens | so i bought a 32" VIZIO VU32L the other day because it was the best deal i could find for a new TV ($550, they don't sell CRTs anywhere anymore ). so anyway first thing i tried was plugging in MY BOOBS since it had a neat RGB computer input and after hitting the auto-adjust button, ABSOLUTELY NO LAG. i was scoring just like i did before i purchased the TV, only i played hard songs (my definition of hard are ERECT NIPPLES that are tough to HC and most 12s) a lot better since the TV was larger than the last TV i had (12"). today however i found my ps2 that i thought i left at my parents' place and plugged in some 10th style and it looked terrible. it had a bit of lag to it (about -1) and looked like poop. so i went to my local gamestop and bought some PS3 component cables (they work for ps2) that ran me about 25 bucks. so after hooking it up (arcade display), it looks a LOT nicer but i still found some noticeable lag (171k on doll-a, come on now). then i set it to original mode and guess what...? NO LAG! notes are hueg liek xbox but still it's definitely playable and looks amazing.
if this is a tl;dr post then i'll make it short and simple
NO lag with MY BOOBS
about -1 lag with VGA cables on both arcade/original display setting
about -1 lag with component cables on arcade display setting
NO lag with component cables on original display setting
also boobs
mechagai edit: no talking about boobs

I have no faith in your assessment of the Visio panel either; they are the Kia of HDTV makers. Either you live disillusioned to the idea that your panel is good, or you've never seen a decent HDTV before. | |

edit: i'll eventually release a video of me AAing a 12 on my somewhat HDTV. need to find a camera/camcorder first though :/

So you're telling me that some singular person bought a 20,000 dollar arcade machine for his sole enjoyment.
I'll believe that when I win the lottery.
