That's not very helpful, as there isn't much information on doubles mode in that FAQ. Not to mention some is still outdated. Please to comment only when comment is useful.

(there might have been doubles information on the following pages- but that is a hell of a lot of TL;DR issue)

Putu- The best advice I can give is to play in Original mode. Wider= better, with the exception of you maybe having a widescreen with no lag- in which case, I shake my finger at you in envy.

Stick with the styles that you can change your hi-speed mods mid-song. Generally though, you will want to have 1/2 to 1 HS slower than your Single play speed specs.

Ultimately speaking though, play all of the styles. Start off in the 1-3 stars, then when you get stuck, move to a different style. By the time you have gone through 3+ styles, you will be ready to go up a level. I got up to 6 stars quick using mainly Happy Sky, 10th and 8th. A word of caution on the earlier styles: Konami wasn't so sure about how possible some of their more difficult notecharts were in terms of being able to hit everything. Hell, check out the right hand of Kakumei [A].

Also- there is no "double beginners". Tough.

P.S. when you are frustrated, play All scratch on Gold. It's fun.

i found 7th style to be the most beginner friendly since it has a lot of 2 and 3 star songs. personally i think Gold is a tough style to begin with for double.

Gobble 14K and both QQQ charts say hello
As much as difficulties were adjusted on all the singles charts since HS came out, doubles charts have had much more extreme adjustments on difficulties.
beatmaniaIIDX ʏW for javascript/CSS
This site keeps a pretty up-to-date list of all doubles difficulties on all styles. There really isn't a good style to start on. Just start from the few 1-3* charts you can find and switch styles once you've cleared them. On a sidenote, random becomes a bit more fun on doubles because your hands have a lot more room to move and you have less of a chance of having to do rolls on your weak fingers.

I would say GOLD for the gracious timing
but RED and HAPPYSKY have a fair amount of easy Light 14 songs

I personally started playing doubles when 10th style CS was out
probably because of all the practice I had on the earlier mixes, by the time RED CS came out I had learned alot

PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER HERE JUST LIKE THAT!

You know, honestly, I would just keep playing all the styles and try to beat as many songs as you can on each. Once you hit a wa ll, put in another style. That's a good way to get better.

Play the latest style you can get. In my opinion in recent styles ( since 10th ), the double charts are easier to start with and more fun to play. In earlier styles there are always some charts with weird key combinations making them a lot harder than they seem to be.

Out of the three PS2 version games that I have, 10th style is IMHO the easiest out of those.

I mean you have don't forget, 5.8.8., Let's Run, dOLL and Fly Through the Night which are relatively beginner-friendly charts.
