Love Again... (Gold)

So I just started to play through Normal on Gold and realized that Love Again is marked as a new song, yet it was on Red and there's no new charts for it.

What's the reasoning behind this? I would guess because it was a CS exclusive on Red but then why would erasermotorphantom/lovely storm both be marked as old songs?

It's because it was released on GOLD AC as a new song. :roadofloq: (I still wish that was a smiley.)

Yea, I had the same question months ago when GOLD first came out, kinda screwy, but it's Konami.

I thought it was just a preview song on Red, but I guess they don't really do previews anymore.

We had a big talk about this in the Gold CS thread.

Appearently, Love Again... (& Photongenic, for that matter) were songs you could play on Gold AC, the 1st time they were on Arcade, but you had to use an e-Amusement card to get them under the "IIDX Records" folder, so they were considered "new" to the arcade.

Now strangely, Lovely Storm (Love Is Dreaminess' Another Chart on Happy Sky) was new on DJ Troopers AC with all new charts, but for some reason, it was considered a revival on Gold. Now TECHNICALLY, that's kinda true since it WAS playable on Happy Sky (though only on Another), but Love Again... was on Red CS & Photongenic was on 9th Style CS, so all 3 should be revivals. & they're mess it all up by not having Lovely Storm on DJ Troopers CS, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CONSIDERED NEW TO ARCADE.

If ErAseRmoToRpHAntOM was considered a revival on DistorteD when the original was on Red, & if Lovely Storm was considered on Gold when it was originally on Happy Sky, I'm betting Outer Limits Alternative (if we get it) will be considered a revival since the original was on DistorteD.

Deca: DistorteD got Ren -Zero- from Gold.

Yeah I originally thought that that was the reason they didn't include Inori (new to Gold AC but appeared on Red CS). Konami is weird :/.

ZERO appeared in GOLD AC first, then it became a preview song in DD CS.

I actually was a little curious about this. Thanks for the explanations.

Fortunately, it's only a handful of songs. I'm keeping a record of my EX score for every chart, putting every song in the Style I first saw it in, and this kind of thing can make things really confusing if it gets out of hand.

Love Again is a frickin' awesum song :] Can't stop playing it. It's pretty easy, try Another. But it's all since I'm a Jpop freak.

what I'm confused about is the Boxthor rislim remix video where he's playing it on 7th(?) style, what's the deal behind this?

Preview songs are always marked as new on both the Style they were considered previews on & the actual Style they appeared on in the AC.

This makes me hope that DJ Troopers will get a preview song since Red, Happy Sky, & Gold didn't get any.
