Marketplace Rating: 0 | Need help with improvement. So, basically, it is like this.
I downloaded Beatmania IIDX, started to play, and could doquite alot difficulty six songs(though sometimes I wonder if some of those six should be at four). Anyway, since everyone told me that "IIDX isn't IIDX without a controller", I bought one. And if anyone want to know which controller, the USKOC one. You want to know why? Since it was a hell of a lot cheaper to buy from Canada than from Japan.
So, at first it was a bitch trying to play. Mostly it was the scratch that was the hardest part but I worked it out quite well. When I could do fours I went on to fives, and at this moment, I only play fives, sixes and sevens.(Is 1st Samurai really a seven? Feels like a five).
So, at this moment, I want to improve in buttonsmashing a.k.a hitting streams. I have two songs I play alot(or want to play alot), and that is Changes and Quasar. Hell, I can't beat them, but I just love the feeling of putting in a 100 combo when the bricks are just falling down.
My current record on Quasar is 40% I think, and Changes....let's just don't talk about Changes(I hate the ending. T_T) So, are there any songs that I have missed that is around Quasar(light) and Changes(normal) when we speak difficulty? I have 9th, 10th and 12th. I also have alot of non-official songs.( I have a song by Amuro and Killer that I like, though the title is an arrow, so I am guessing it has a Japanese name)
So is there any special songs out there that is almost like Quasar and Changes? They doesn't have to be in 9th, 10th or 12th.

(The Amuro/Killer song is most likely Mei, aka this character: 冥 ) Best suggestion: if you ARE using sims, move on and buy the games themselves. Odds are you're going to find those a new experience with some much stricter timing. If you're not, though, then make extensive use of Training Mode and slow down the bits you're having issues with to practice them.
Otherwise, clarify anything I screwed up and I'll try and help from there.

Ok, firstly I have no television, second no PS2. Third, getting a PS2 means I have to chip it since I live in Sweden, and fourth, I need to import the games from Asia which means alot of money. I am right now becoming a student, and donät want to spend money like that.
I don't know. Slowing them down doesn't feel good, since I am looking for fast songs. Love 1st Samurai, mainly because the tempo, and the max speed increase in SSRMAX is 3, so yeah, I want fast songs, with alot of stream. The only problem with 1st Samurai is that I can beat it easily on light, but fail on standard.
So, the only good songs that is hard for me, and that also include asong I like, is Quasar and Changes.
I will try and get a TV, PS2, and a couple of games later on, but the cost will rise, and surely end up around quite alot of money. And I am not rich at the moment.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | well iidx sims do give u experience on how you can read the note chart, its just like stepmanina, i use to play max300 on it so then i could remember some of the notes and whats coming next in max300, but you shoudlnt rely all too much on sims, i thinkt he best way to go is to go to a supersession(where you pay $12 for 2hrs of noonstop gaming) at ur local arcade, (if it has one) to make you improve

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Although sims have their ups and downs... I started playing on sims. However, when I started playing, none of the easier simfiles were out, they were all hard ones... So I played them all on a slower speed. When I started getting better, I was already familiar with all of the pattterns on the harder songs.
However, I suggest (to the guy from sweden) that you at least get a controller.
As for the original poster... I suggest to you that you do get a PS2 and the games and a fliptop/swapdisc/slidecard/modchip/whatever. It will be a much better gaming experience. But at least having the controller will help a lot. Take the earlier advice and play songs at slower speeds that give you trouble, and if you can't hit a certain pattern... sit down with it and look at it, try to figure out how you COULD potentially hit all of the notes. I had to do that with The Safari.
Good luck to ya. ^_^

This is part of why I suspected simulation, no offense: your files named are some of the biggest pains in the ass in all of IIDX. (Especially Mei. Christ.) I'm not going to lecture anyone on piracy, not my bag, but I can see the circumstances from time to time. But if you MUST pirate, and this is not suggesting anything at all, the only thing that'd be worthwhile is having the PS2 games. Anything else is only going to be able to teach you how to read the game, and, with a controller, very loosely play IIDX itself. (Expect any scores you have to drop tremendously at worst should you find yourself playing actual IIDX versions of these songs, is all I'm saying.)

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yeah, I wasn't going for some anti-piracy angle at all - that's a totally different topic. From my limited experience of playing IIDX sims, I just know the timing and total experience is different enough that you can't really judge songs or performance on one and equate it to the other.
Moreover, the original post makes no mention of Another difficulties.
