Trust me on this. | For me, my skill didn't seem to decrease too far when I restarted plying doubles somewhat recently, and I don't seem to remember that happening when I started doubles either. I can beat a few 9s (like Time to Air) so I've played doubles a decent amount.
But than again, I can't even get below 300 misses on AA [A], so hard clearing that (or any 12) is far out of my reach.

The closest I am to hard clearing a 12 may be Concertino in Blue, moon_child, or maybe Colors (And I have ~90-100 misses on those). In fact, I can't even Hard Clear The Last Striker [A].

But seriously, once you start figuring it out its so much fun. Especially if you're completely stuck on singles. I didn't really start taking doubles seriously until I was already into some 12s on singles, and it was like starting over again. Which was both frustrating as hell and amazingly rewarding.

I might be able to HC in the sky if I can get the middle section right, but right now I don't even have a normal clear on it (because I hate the last third or so of the chart, especially the last measure).
Also, the chord jackhammers are almost never my problem when I'm doing badly on Concertino in Blue, it's usually the double scales.
The double scales are probably my main problem on moon_child as well.

Still getting roughly a 2:2:1 ratio of greats!!:greats:goods. Should I first work on breaking past 11s or just go back to 9s and work on timing? And if I do work on timing, are there any songs that are recommended for this? | |

Higher levelled songs introduce and require more advanced techniques to pass, and in your endeavour to pass harder songs you'll inevitably begin acquiring those techniques. So just keep playing, things like accuracy will come when they come
Also, if jacks aren't much for you, Innocent Walls [a] should be cake. Also, Scripted Connection A Mix is rather manageable for you? Don't forget about Icarus [a], which shouldn't even be a 12 ^_^

Those don't even compare to Scripted Connection A Mix (604 per minute) and Innocent Walls (620 per minute).
