if button 1 keeps dropping notes, it might just be a misfire. The problem is probably the microswitch but in time it go away.

My FP7 died.

Don't know what happened, it was completely fine one or two weeks ago, and I just left it there, haven't touched it until now and realized it didn't register any single input.

It was connected to my computer via the parallel port, and I used Joy2Key and ParallelPortJoystick to configure the setup, no input was received whatsoever, everything just don't work.

I couldn't find out(Or I don't know how to) whether it was the controller or the printer port connection failed.

The LEDs still light up when I plug in the USB, but I don't think this is related.

Any tips?

Makes me wonder about buying the re double now. I'd hate to have one really big paper weight...

Did you check your connections, inside the controller? Maybe the PCB just randomly died. Kinda weird i'd say.

ololol. do you really think that dao wouldn't send you a replacement if it really did turn out to be 100% unusable? have some faith. dao's controllers are built well, but he can't fully control the quality of the pcbs/microswitches, as he doesn't have the time to test them for a few hours before he ships them. since he'll ship you replacements if something breaks, you shouldn't think twice about getting a dao if you have the money and want one.

It's incredibly easy. You just take the back off, pop the microswitch out, pull the led out and put a new one in, then put the switch back in and screw the back on again. Changing the turntable light is a pain though.

All of them light up, just like a normal controller.

Before it break down, sometimes the TT LED will flicker once and the TT will not recognise inputs, but then I will disconnect and reconnect the USB, just like switching the power off and on, and it will work as normal. The keys still work even I don't restart though. And I didn't happen that many times, twice or thrice I think.

@sprite: Did you verify/confirm the Card yet? Somewhere on your account page it'll say "Things to do" and "Confirm your card" or something. Or Address. Just do whatever it says there.

DJ Dao is officially my favorite person to do business with... might get into it later but it includes great costumer support and great service... and he actually trusts me. You don't get trust from many vendors anymore.

"Trust"? I hope you elaborate, cause I didn't know there was an element of trust needed of a consumer. I hope I can trust a vendor to get me my goods in a reasonable time frame, but I've never heard of a vendor needing to trust a consumer.

When you order from dao using paypal, does anybody else only have eCheck available? Because I wanted to use my debit card for a faster purchase but it said that's the only way. Now i have to wait a week for it to process!

Anyways... Did anybody else order a RE Double? What provider delivers the re double to you, since it's so huge.

Dao usually ships EMS regardless of what controller you buy.

I think I like this guy. I won't be hesitating when I decide to get an FP7.
