I'm guessing this 5k figure is just the actual transit fee, and not the cost of the machine.

I would like to see this headed down the Oceania way. And I've tried emailing KoA about getting KoAu to become arcade machine licensors but their response was "You're contacting the wrong department." which kind of had me in a flurry because I asked KoA to contact KoAu since they wouldn't listen to a nobody.

Anyways, pending interest in Australia, I'll start up a petition of sorts to get the ball rolling -- we need to improve the quality of arcading here since both IIDX and Pop'n machines get little business because the machine quality is so poor. And they won't upgrade because no-one plays; a horrible Catch 22.

I'm just trying to calm things down a little. Betson hasn't even received the machine yet and people are already being skeptical about it, and it's not like people who are related to this project don't read this board. While the techs that are going to BZ to install everything and whatnot are official sources, they aren't press releases, and when everyone starts getting this crazy about it all without an official statement, it really blows things up and then support starts to fall. Look at Supernova, news was broken too early, and expectations were not met. This isn't constructive. So like Baka Orochi said on the first page, wait until the machine arrives before we really start discussion, until then the only statements that should be taken as 100% factual are the ones that betson gives to us directly.

It's confirmed that BZ will be getting an IIDX machine for approximately two weeks in early March, for the purposes of location testing.

The machine and location test were confirmed by Konami and Betson. The version of the machine (GOLD or whatever) is not confirmed yet. It really isn't confirmed by Konami when the game will reach the arcade for location testing either, as I understand it.
