Lawl. More than a month? Try 8. I've been without a controller since October. I had DistorteD for less than a month, then Steve said to go ahead and ship my controller to him so he can start wiring it up.
"ETAs" kept getting pushed back, but I still had faith that he would finish it in a timely manner. Preorders for Gold came up, and I ordered mine via EMS Speedpost thinking that I'd have my controller by the time it shipped. I wish I knew then what I do now because I'd save myself some money by just doing economy mail. Blah.

I got super excited when I got an email from DHL notifying me that a package is being shipped. Turns out, though, he never actually shipped it. Yes, he did have some personal issues as well as a prior engagement, but it's still pretty inexcusable. Almost one month later and it still hasn't been shipped. He emailed me with a couple updated ETAs with timeframes that keep changing (he just needs to hand it to someone at DHL! You can request a scheduled pickup for crying out loud!) but honestly I'm just ignoring them now. I'd believe him saying, "I'm giving birth tomorrow!" more than, "I'm shipping your controller tomorrow."

A lot of people (myself included) keep telling Steve to quit giving out too optimistic ETAs and that he should handle things differently. I really hope he actually takes our advice.

Something ALWAYS comes up with Steve. He will deny this up and down, but It's not about him being optimistic or excited with dates, its him getting you off of his back.

I would have probably had to wait double the amount of time if I wasn't CONSTANTLY applying pressure to him, and EVEN with that, it still took him seven months to send the controller out. Its a good thing I canceled my decals because I'd probably still be waiting for it.

His business practices and his "I've been so busy making other controllers" bs are absolutely inexcusable, especially when you consider the fact that he could EASILY set up a logical queue that he could handle. If he can't handle five orders, he should only take one at a time, instead of ten.

And I tell ya, DAO's shipping to Europe won't take more than a week!! Once it's shipped of course.

Because DJ DAO has this strange timing, once a month he goes all out and sends every order out like almost in two days, but sometimes your order gets postponed agin and again. But it's not that bad, because DJ DAO's are FANTASTIC!

I don't know about DA, but he makes them all by hand? DJ DAO has a small factory running with a couple of people, this goes a bit better, plus he has an auto-part factory helping him out with everything he needs, from oil for the PCV to the metal parts.

Just go ahead and get a Dao. You won't be sorry. I currently own a PEE and its heaven. Pay DA no mind at all.

(I actually ordered a Pop'n controller that I received 8 months after the fact. Within the time I also order my first PE that I received 3 days after the payment cleared. Its funny because I confused DA for DAO when I first ordered the controller.)

DJ Dao's controllers can either be a blessing or a curse depending on your luck.

If you get a good one on arrival, it'll work great (my PE has worked pretty well thusfar)

However the craftsmanship can sometimes be messy. My base is not perfectly aligned and there was glue residue on various parts. Also the TT is slightly lompsided. Plus there's the whole shipping from china thing and If it arrives broken, you're on your own to fix it.

Dao isn't perfect, but he's been close enough with my orders that I'm not going to split hairs.

I have a PE with some minor cosmetic issues and an occasionally misfiring TT, but I love it to death all the same. I also have a Pop'n ASC that is beyond reproach; just incredible in every way. Both controllers reached me in less than two weeks from the time I posted payment through WU.

In short, Dao =
