Default PEE2 Maintenence

Hey everyone.

I didn't want to post in the help thread, nobody reads that shit.

Kay so the problem is with my Start button on my DAO PEE2. If I hold it, it flickers on and off, which is obviously a problem since now I can't change my HS settings ingame. If I wiggle the key around while it's pressed down I can make it flicker on and off according to where it sits in the hole.

Has anyone had this or a similar kind of problem? Either way, does anyone know of a solution?

Many thanks.

Yup, it's a microswitch problem. If you had taken the time to read through the Dao thread, you would have seen the paragraph I posted about the topic. It's a common problem, it would seem.

There's over 100 pages in the dao thread. that's asking too much.

Well my post is on the last page. A hundred, yes that's too much, but I don't think its too much to skim the last 2 or 3 pages. Or do a search. Or something.

A "DJ Dao Maintenance and Common Problems" sticky thread, which is moderated, (solved problems/off topic posts get deleted, solutions go into the opening post) could be really really useful.

These problems are either: Bad/Dying microswitch or Bad connection to microswitch.

Either is a pretty reasonable fix. The latter, of course, is the easiest: check to make sure that the connectors to that button are all nice and tight. If that doesn't fix it, new microswitch.

False , absolutely false , it may NOT be a microswitch problem.

I got the same on my Pop'n Dao , the starts flickers on / off , even if the microswitch was unplug , even unplug from the pcb.

It was a PCB problem , i need to replace it. and it's a very new problem , that everyone seems to have one day or another since dao change his factory ...

a microswitch problem is more likely and easier to test. if replacing the switch doesn't work THEN a board problem may be the cause

Ex -- click on krazykorean's thread about his own controller problems. About halfway down the thread someone posted a pic of what you need to order. After you obtain that replacement PCB I guess you'll need to find someone to help you put it in your PEE :p
