Default PentaCube Gt. (RX-Ver.S.P.L.) = Lost Mega Man Music?

Anyone else think so? I do, that's the first thing that came to mind when I played it. On a side note, I think I'm tied right now between Water and Penta as my favorite of the "cube" series.

Seeing how Masafumi Takada worked for Capcom, it sounds like Mega Man music, but I wonder if he composed for Mega Man (or X or those other Mega Man series I can't remember).

Every time i think of Masafumi Takada the first thing that comes to mind is Sweet Blue Flag....that's way off topic though.

I hadn't really noticed it sounding like Megaman music. It has slightly similar tones but the structure doesn't seem enough energetic really. I can understand where you're coming from, though.

Here is a list of video game soundtracks composed by Masafumi Takeda from Wikipedia. He has never worked on any Megaman project although PentaCube does sound like some kind of boss battle music in classic 2d action games.

* The Silver Case (1999)
* Flower, Sun, and Rain (2001)
* Michigan (2005)
* killer7 (With Jun Fukuda) (2005)
* Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked (2005)
* God Hand (2006)
* Beatmania IIDX (Contributed "IceCube Pf.(RX-Ver.S.P.L.)" for beatmaniaIIDX 12 HAPPY SKY CS [1] , "WaterCube Pf.(RX-Ver.S.P.L.)" for beatmaniaIIDX 13 DistorteD CS [2] and PentaCube Gt.(RX-Ver.S.P.L.) for beatmaniaIIDX 14 GOLD CS. (2006, 2007, 2008, respectively)
* Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (2007)
* No More Heroes (2007)
* Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Contributed "Ending (Yoshi's Story)", "Marionation Gear", and "Shin Onigashima," among others.)[3] (2008)

Wow, he did God Hand, NMH, AND Brawl?! Neat! Kinda cool having a guy who worked on music for so many other non-Konami games having original music for IIDX.

Really? That's interesting. Maybe he was directly involved, but maybe he was in the cubicle across from Setuo Yamamoto.
Yea, I was referring to it being in the style of the Mega Man X series.

Completely off topic but haha, I was the one who added in the beatmaniaIIDX contributions since nobody else would.

Don't forget about Manabu Namiki (Raizing composer) and Sanodg (namco composer). They're both in the same situation :p I'm probably forgetting some other crossover artists too...well anyone from Sampling Masters primarily composes for namco, like Shinji Hosoe(MEGA) and Ayako Saso(AYA)

They need to get sanodg to stick around and give us some more CS stuff <3 or just give us a 2dx mix of something from Ridge Racer...not sure how likely that is, since Namco, unlike Nintendo, is pretty established in the arcade market. Though I don't even know if that should have any bearing on it *shrugs*

I think on Takada Masafumi's music, this is really a part of his song, (R.X.-Ver.S.P.L.)
seeing it appeared on his remix of Quantum Teleportation... I was amazed on his remix... it sounds like a boss song from a video game...

U1-Asami may be an underrated Bemani Artist but he is one of the best Bemani composers of all time.

I'm a former Slake hater but I'm growing to appreciate some of his works.

I agree, his remix was by far one of the best on Denjin K

Raizing? Never heard of them, but he pretty much does every soundtrack to Cave's shooters now. I LOVE his Cave stuff, and actually I thought his IIDX song was a little disappointing in comparison, but the title Shoot 'em up did suit the song. It sounded like a mash up of parts of songs from Mushihime Sama and Espgaluda.

Raizing/Eighting was another company that made shooters (one of the four that split off from Toaplan along with Cave, Takumi [Giga Wing, Mars Matrix, etc], and Gazelle [Air Gallet and god knows what else]) , and probably my favorite. Armed Police Batrider has to be my favorite shooter They also made Battle Garegga, Battle Bakraid, the Mahoo series, and some other stuff I can't think of off the top of my head.

After disbanding the head of Raizing (and maybe other employees as well, don't know for sure) went and joined up with Cave, and ended up making Ibara. This may explain Namiki's involvement with Cave as of late.

My favorite Cave related work of his would have to be the arrange soundtrack of DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou :3
