I just remember going on the memento site, and seeing that the only pop'n music able to be put on a USB Hard Drive (using Memento's recommended software for it) was pop'n 6.

If you have a fat PS2 just get a 7200 RPM Seagate drive with at least an 8MB cache and you should be golden.

I probably won't bother with HDD's, I had a phat PS2 until I punctured a cord putting it back together when I was trying a method for swapping disks.
Now I have the newest model that not even any skinning sites have templates for.

It would work there............but your controllers may not...unless of course you have PS2 to USB adapters (though you may have to 'get your hands dirty')

maybe some day i'll get a phat ps2 and put a hdd in it, but it just doesn't seem practical for me. i bought my ps2 just to play iidx, but of course i have the option to play any other ps2 game that i want, us or jp, thanks to swap magic.
got my slim ps2 for $20, got swap magic for $25 free shipping from here

Total Tokens: 545,944.40 Donate Tokens | Currently using a PS2 fat model. Originally it was US version but we modded it and now, it can play all PS2 games from all versions. Granted, PS1 discs as well as DVD movies do not work (due to that being an older mod )
Nevertheless, I'm do planning to get a new PS2 and an Asian Version unit to boot (since it has autovolt as well as it being NTSC/J). Given that it could cost at around 100 American dollars (due to its rapid price drop/depreciation/etc.) so it's a real steal
