Default Putting Lights on a IIDX KOC

It looks pretty easy to do since Japanese KOCs are made to take out the keypad to clean the buttons.

I want to put lights on my JKOC. The only question is where can I find transparent IIDX Keys, and the right size bulb for them? and I don't want to buy an ASC to do it.

sorry if this is kinda a google question.

It's 100% impossible to add lights to your KOC buttons. You'd have to perform the arcade key mod to get anywhere close to those results. Finding transparent KOC buttons is going to be very, very hard. :p

You are going to need Sanwa keys of course (that's the 45UK model if you're going for the one with built-in LED lights).

Not an easy task though (as sure 9000 would've already told you)

shitty. somebody should try to sell parts, or IIDX modded Light Keypads since you can just put those on the KOC.

just be fun to try.

sanwa's wont fit in a KOC to begin with, so you will need to mod the controller for that, plus not to mention to soldering you would (probably) have to do to get the keys to light up.

You should just go for a ASC if you want lights that badly.

Shouldn't there be a way to make the KOC buttons transparent by doing something to them?

I saw someone put lights on a Guitar Hero Controller, so I thought I would try this out.

Isn't there transparent ones on a Konami ASC, and DJ Station Pro?

edit: nvm they don't. except for DJ Station Pro having red buttons instead of black ones.

DJ Station Pro definitely has transparent buttons that light up, and they're pretty awesome :X I've been enjoying mine for a couple weeks now (Thanks again Jumbo )

Not that it would help you at all, the look smaller, are shaped different, and I'm pretty sure are made completely different in order to use the springs. Seriously, if you want lights your best bet is going to be just buying an ASC. You'd probably spend a comparable amount of money and go to an extreme amount of trouble putting them in a KOC, and the end result would more than likely look horrible.

If it was really a feasible option, then a lot of people would be doing it.

Just get a Dao. They play/look/feel/smell/sound/taste awesome. You CANNOT go wrong with a Dao, especially these days with all the fixes he's made for them. Sure they're a little expensive but it's completely worth it.

Man, I need to dig out my old DJ Station Pro. The turntable was the best out of all the KOCs, but the buttons were a bit hard to press :/

The buttons can be a little stubborn if you don't hit straight down on them, but ever since I started working on my timing in 2dx I started hitting the buttons a lot quicker, harder, and more precisely, so I didn't really have much trouble adjusting to it.

The TT is definitely really nice, but it doesn't feel as good as my 2dx jkoc tt (which I actually never even modded). Course I've noticed that my 2dx tt actually feels nicer than most other jkocs I've played on so I dunno. That and I have yet to fully break in the DJ Station Pro.

Call me insane, but I think that while the buttons are total shit, the turntable on the european controller is best.
