question about iidx & samsung hdtv

Alright. I originally bought this Samsung 32" (model LNT3242) for my psp slim, and ps3 when I eventually get one. However, I became interested in iidx and wanted to play on this TV in my room since the other tv's in the house are occupied.

I understand that LCD's aren't ideal for iidx since the timing windows are strict, but I noticed that you can adjust the timing in iidx distorted. The scale goes from 1 - 7 early / late. Now, is this referring to how you want it to be later/earlier, or is it referring to whether your TV is late/early?

I know I should be trying to fiddle with this. In fact, I have, but I couldn't even figure out what's right or wrong, simply because I'm new to the game and I don't even know how it's supposed to be. It would be great if anyone knows the calibration on this level I could set it on (though I do not expect this coincidence), or maybe have some tips that I could work with.

TV's inappropriate for IIDX.

I have the 46'' LNT model and -2 is CS perfect for Distorted. Happy Sky is fine just the way it is (I think its naturally late).
