I doubt that a thread on this exists on Bemanistyle (I regularly check this section ever since March 2006 and I haven't seen anything similar).
Here's my question:
When I played in Hong Kong last two months ago, I came across two BM IIDX machines (one version: 13 machine and one version:14 machine).
The machines both had beat#3 respectively enabled. During one of my play sessions, I came across two new songs from Jun and Tahirih Walker namely "Why Did You Go Away?" and "Crossroad". After liking their song "Happy Angel"(Supernova 1 and Happy Sky), I decided to try these two songs. I then spun the turntable to select those songs. However, just as I select the cursor on "Why Did You Go Away?", I only noticed that there was one item for it. Aren't there two versions of it? Same goes for "Crossroad" which only has one version selectable. Aren't there two different voices for it as well?
And that is my question:
Shouldn't there be two different versions of the respective song? How come there is only one that is selectable during gameplay??? Did I miss something out???
Any opinions/comments/answers then?

For Boy's Reason, set the effector sliders to form an M (down-up-down-up-down) before selecting the song.
I'm not sure what you do for Crossroads though.

There's no exact method for getting RIGHT STORY, but it's theorized that the last digit of the song select timer when you pick the song determines which version you get. (It's theorized that if it ends in 0, e.g. 23.60, you get RIGHT STORY, otherwise you get LEFT STORY).

Unfortunately, I only tried "Crossroad" on the GOLD machine and "Why Did You Go Away?" on the DD machine (but even I didn't know about this back then hence me asking).
So are these the answers:
Why Did You Go Away?
-Form an "M" shape with the 5 effectors.
Crossroad
-Hundreths digit of the game timer must be at "0" then.
Anything else to add or anything that was missed? (before this is locked by the mods/admins)

Not to thread-jack but what other songs have weird ways of getting different things about them? I never knew messing with effectors had anything to do with how a song may play... What other songs are like that?

Just those two. It started in DistorteD with Why Did You Go Away (two halves of the same song with the exact same chart but different vocals and overlays), then again with Crossroad in GOLD.

I thought the two versions on Crossroad were determined by which side you played on. If you were on the 1P side you would have Left Story (being on the left) and if you were on the 2P side you would get Right Story (being on the right).
