I'm leaving Japan after being here for over a year-I wanted to take some of the bemani experience with me. My friend who I'm moving in with has US Beatmania and a Beatmania controller that came with it, and I'm currently picking up some Drummania stuffus-but I figured I should grab something beatmaniaish before I go as well so I can finally practice it in the states. I pretty much only played Drummania while here but if I can practice on Beatmania IIDX once back in the US (I'm buying a Japanese PS2 to take back with me so no probs there) I figure why not? The US Beatmania controller DOES work with the Japanese PS2 console, right? And I'm guessing its at least usable with Japanese IIDX games...correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyhow,
A game store around here has quite a few PopN and Beatmania CS releases, but I was wondering what any of you would recommend? Maybe a "top 3" Beatmania IIDX CS for me to pick up.
Thanks, and I'm not native to this forum (usually on GuitarFreaks/Drummania) so I give a quick shout out to you crazy DJ folx.
Out,
Chris

First, answers. Quote:

| This comes up quite often and you can probably search through the FAQ/"I'm a noob" threads to see what people have said before.
I'd recommend you determine which IIDX songs you like and try to find the Styles that have the most of what you want. Consult Konami's official pages or other websites to find songlists. If that's too much work for you, buy whatever's cheapest.

Dog$ is correct though - you should pick the styles that fit your music preference. Then you'll know that you'll be getting lot of game time with a style you like.

Yeah I saw the FAQ and read the beginning post but it didn't seem to relate; but now scrolling further down I can see there is more on the specific CS mixes available.
Okay, sorry bout that.
Glad I got my Q's answered so quickly-probably someone should close this quickly since it's served it's purpose (in my opinion).
