Default Referring to Japanese titled BM songs?

K, I'm new the whole BM scene, I just started playing these games about 2 weeks ago. I currently have US BM, 10th, 11 RED, and 12 HS, and I have a question. Some of the songs that I really like to play and listen to don't have an english translation, and only have the japanese characters for a title. How do you refer to these songs? Do they have an english name? For example, the 2 songs in Level 3 in 11 RED.

Every song has an English equivalent that a lot of people use, or sometimes more than one. There are too many to list them all, really, though.

As far as the two songs in RED that you mention, they would be:

Oosanbashi (genre: JAPAN)
Perplexity (genre: ASIAN CROSSOVER)

Cool rmz! I have another question. What is the name of the song that only has a single character from the US BM version?

Another example is, if you are wondering, the song in IIDX 11 RED with long Japanese title and with the genre, DIRGE, is Piano Kyousoukyoku Daiichiban "Sasoribi" (ピアノ協奏曲第1番”蠍火”), which can be referred as Piano Concerto No.1 "Scorpion Fire", PF Concerto No.1 "Anti-Ares", or just simply "Scorpion Fire" or "Anti-Ares".

You mean V?

There are no songs with Japanese characters in the US version.

Hehe, my bad rmz. :P
I meant the japanese song in 10th style, I believe it's a level 2 song. Kinda sounds like chanting.

Okay, I have a question. I don't think the marquee on the IIDX machines can handle Japanese characters too well so what happens if the person picks a song with a japanese title to play? Does it show a romanization of the song title or does it show a translation of the title?

Sorry, but I've never played on a IIDX machine before. Only a beatmania one. :/

You mean the LED marquee? It shows a romanization of the title.

The answer: Yes. For example: タシカナモノ is the songtitle, and the ticker shows as TASHIKANAMONO.

Yeah, but what about Piano kyousoukyoku dai 1 ban "Sasoribi"? With its many titles to be referred as, what does it say in the ticker?

If I recall, Cashless wa Aijou Kesu Tissue (キャッシュレスは愛情消すティッシュ), simply displays TISSUE on the L.E.D. marquee.

Also, other ones that display different:

冥 is displayed as "MEI (TAKASH)", which is Taka + Tatsh since the artist is Amuro vs Killer

And 嘆きの樹 doesn't display NAGEKI NO KI, instead it displays a series of words.

Random words? How strange.

And how about 電人、暁に斃れる from IIDX? Some people call it "FATAL ATTACK" and I'm wondering whether it's from the LED marquee text.
