since when did IIDX's screen jump

I have a problem, I have 8 and 7th style that I burrowed from my friend for a while to play them and they load up quite wierd. The screen seems to have kind of seizures of some sort where the screen starts shaking and it becomes extremely hard to even read the notes coming down the screen.

What makes it more wierder is that anything 9th style and above (I haven't gotten 10th yet) works perfectly fine...

I believe the chip I have in my ps2 is called Matrix Infinity something something.

I'm no expert, but the problem is probably the flickering caused by the refresh rate of the television set. My guess is that, because in some DDR games, there is an option called "Flicker-Free", or something, where the screen does not flicker when the objects stay still on the screen. 9th Style and later styles must have this feature built-in, since 10th Style does not have this problem.

Thanks for that info, but I'm not sure what the hell to do...

I've looked in 8th style to find if there was a mode of some sort that had some Flickering thing and it didn't and I also checked my TV's menu and stuff and also looked for something that might stop the flickering but that didn't really work out as I planned (didn't find crap)

I'm also looking on google for something that might be good enough to rest the problem...but of course I'm not getting the right results
