Default Single-direction scratching, I must know this

In a video I saw a guy playing, I think his name was Lisa or something, and he'd move his right hand to the turntable and push the disc forward to scratch. Unless he was playing some jazz song with fast scratches like Make me Your Own, he'd hit it forward each time. I had never tried this with 8th scratches, and when I did, I'd get a poor or bad due to my KOC not registering the scratch quickly enough, it's a USKOC by the way.

So my question is: Of the different brands of Arcade-Styled Controller, which one has a turntable that can handle quick scratches in one direction? I think KOC owners are in the minority here, so it seems like someone will have a good answer for me.

Thanks,
Creed

I'm having a hard time taking this thread seriously thanks to

However

If you tighten your turntable up you'll be able to do quick same-direction scratches. The procedure is covered in a modding faq somewhere... maybe VJA?

How quick are we talking? As far as scratching in 4ths in the same direction, you can make them all register if you don't push that hard.

Speaking of scratchy songs, 5.1.1 Another is probably possible only scratching in one direction.

for the most part, it is

On the KOC, being able to do that requires a certain rhythm and force, but is definitely possible.

As long as the turntable fully stops moving before the next scratch, it's possible.

With my KOC tightended up I can scratch the end of Gigadelic all the same way (aside from the occasional quick doublescratch things that pop up on occasion). It's probably not the fastest it will register, but it's the first thing that comes to mind.

For some reason, even in the AC I play in, the machine has a hard time responding to quick, single-direction scratches... :/

Well, considering the machine is pretty old, I wouldn't be too surprised...

I find it much easier to keep time scratching if it's in the same direction, similar to how it's easier not to rush picking on Guitar Freaks/Hero if you're doing all downpicks.

(I'd) hit it in small, short bursts, trying to move the turntable as minimally as possible. Try turning it less than an inch. OR bite the bullet and turn it the opposite directions each scratch :V~

I scratch in both directions, it makes it funner to play =3

but I do agree when scratching in single direction, barely scratch so it doesn't move to much
