Default Slipmat Mod Question

I want to do the turntable mod for my US BM koc. But the closest circuit city is 30min away, and I don't have wax paper. Can I use plastic bags from Subway? They seem smooth. what else are good substitutes?

Wax paper is actually the best to use, the plastic bag will cause static to build up and could probably make the turntable harder to turn. I didn't like the way it felt when I used the Circuit City bag. Make sure that the package says wax paper. Parchment paper is not the same.

Parchment paper is fine for me...?

It's a little loose though.

I've actually been using a cutout from a plastic bag on my JPKOC for roughly one and a half year before it started sticking, and it never really built static or anything it worked fine the whole time

just something to add: if you don't get enough grip on your TT and dont want to put tape on it, vinyl stickers work wonders.

Apparently Circuit City's bags are supposed to be pretty slippery. I tried another plastic bag I had laying around and it felt terrible.

Wax paper is really the best way to go.
