I'm an IIDX Newbie. Just started out playing IIDX 4 months ago, but thanks to my other rhythm game experiences, I managed to clear a couple of 12's in a short period of time..
Anyways, It wasn't until I cleared those 12's that I got aware that DP's not bad as well. So my question is this:
When should a Single player play DP? I won't be providing any measuring medium (since I'm new, and I don't know much songs) So you can go freestyle with your words.
Any terms I'm unfamiliar with will go straight to google, so don't worry. | |

As for DP, it's made of win, although a ton of older DP charts are rated a bit low.

Both of which are similar to IIDX, minus the turntable and technique requirements.
IIDX is my first Bemani, which explains why I barely have decent BEMANI music knowledge.

It's a whole different game, very rewarding when you start to get a feel for it.

Also wtf passing 12's in 4 months? I couldn't even do a 10 in 4 months.

Being a dick aside, I think DP sounds like the most interesting way to play IIDX, so you should play if you have the opportunity!

Well I thought about starting out on doubles to actually give more keys to either hand.. Wait that sounds confusing, so let me explain..
I'm a 1P player, And I find it hard having to press keys 2 and 3 while scratching, so I thought about using may right thumb for 3 and my usual left thumb for 2 while pinky scratching. But it's kind of hard breaking what your hands are used to doing. So I thought of playing DP to either make both my hands capable of pressing every single key.
I'm also trying out 1Hand play. Same reasons.
And I dunno if this is useful information, but I have NEVER played CS before. I don't even own any gaming console. But I've been thinking of buying a PS2 just for IIDX.

Also yeah, playing doubles will up your singles game. Maybe not drastically or quickly, but it'll help bring up your weak hand.
