Turntable Issue Well my controller is getting pretty old at this point, it's been serving me faithfully for 5 or 6 years at this point and enduring a lot of heavy use. I never really had any problems with the turntable at all, didn't even need to mod it, but now it's finally starting to act up.
I've found it triggering extra hits fairly regularly in the past few days. Most of these seem to be after it rotates too far off of a scratch but some of them are coming up in the middle of longer patterns as well. This is extremely frustrating for me as scratching has always been one of my strongest suits. I feel I could come pretty close to a AAA on naughty girl @ queens palace if it would stop misfiring.
I'm thinking it may have just gradually become too lose over time, and was going to try swapping in the spring from the turntable on a broken USKOC a friend gave me a while back to see if it helps any. I'd rather not stretch the spring that's in there because I don't really like to do anything irreversible.
If anyone has any experience with this or can offer any advice on the matter I would appreciate it. I've been meaning to get a dao for a while now but it's really not an option at the moment :/
