Default Uploading data from Memory Card to PC

Hello

Ok, i'm planning to upload my scores since i'm too lazy to put up my scores on VJ Army, so i'll be using the MemoryMani program...now, I'm going to buy a Max Drive...but how exactly does it work?
Do I put the Max Drive into the USB port of the PS2...then what?
How do I get my memory card data into the Max Drive so I can upload it on my PC?

I'll C&P a tutorial I wrote about this very topic:

How-To's:

What can I use to copy my data between my PS2 and computer?
Quote:
Retail options:
* Action Replay MAX (PC <-> PS2)
* Action Replay MAX EVO (Same as above, but it comes bundled with a compatible flash drive) (PC <-> PS2)
* Max Drive (Same save functionality as the above two, but without the codes or other unnecessary bells and whistles) (PC <-> PS2)
* X-Port / X-Port 2 (PC <-> PS2)

Free options:
* Action Replay MAX / MAX EVO (if you know where to look and have a compatible USB flash drive to use with it)
* CD-2-MEM, lets you burn a PS2 CD-R with your save files, then copy them to your card from there (PC -> PS2 only)
* There is a way to use your PS2's network adapter to transfer stuff over a network, one person says it's called "Execftp"

Exporting:

1. Use your method of choice to get your RED CS save file off of your memory card and onto your computer. Some suggested methods are listed above. (Please PM me if you know of a good method other than the ones already listed)

2. Once your save file is on your computer, convert it to a widely-used format like .xpo if necessary. There are freeware PS2 save converters available on the internet, I recommend PS2 Save Builder.

3. Put your *.xpo, *.max, or whatever file in a ZIP or RAR archive. Include your DJ name in the filename, and at the very least make a post when you update your save so that people know to download the updated version.

4. Upload your save file to the internet in a relatively permanent location. VJ Army allows you to upload and store your save files there.
Importing:
Quote:
You will need two PS2 memory cards to import data -- one to hold your data, and one to hold your rival's data until it is copied to your card.

1. Download your desired save file.

2. Convert to a format that your PS2 memory card-to-PC solution of choice (X-Port, AR MAX, etc) can read. For example, I have an X-Port 2, so if I download a save in a different format, I need to convert it to .xpo format in order to be able to use it.

3. Copy your save file to your SECOND memory card -- the one that does NOT have your personal file on it, since I believe in that case it would overwrite your personal save file and that would be BAD.

4. Put that memory card into your PS2's memory card slot #2. Put your personal memory card (the one with YOUR data) into memory card slot #1 if it isn't already. Run IIDX RED and go to the Rival Data menu.

5. Select the person's name and the rival data will be copied to your card.
As far as how to actually use the MAX Drive, it should come with a manual. I have an X-Port which you just use to connect your computer's USB port to your PS2's USB port, and you run the necessary software on both ends. Dunno exactly how the MAX Drive interface works though.
