Hello I have recently bought a brand new US Beatmania from the internet however whenever I try and play the 3rd white key from the left will not work. This was the first time I had used the controller and the controller is brand new. Any Ideas?
Return it if the key doesn't work at all. You can trying opening up the key panel if you want to see if anything's stuck in there or something but I can't imagine that there would be anything you could do to easily fix it with a US KOC.
Return it and get another one I say.

I'd say open the key panel and take a look to see if something doesn't look right. Or check the plug as well. Mine tends to come loose randomly, and just wiggling it in the controller port fixes it.
One of my BM US always has been the same. I slam the keys with my hand every so often (days or weeks?) and that keeps it working.
I'll probably open it up when it finally annoys me enough, and clean the pad contacts under the button. There was probably some residue on it or something. Failing that, maybe the plug for the key panel needs a tweak.
Maybe I'm just lucky. I've plunked in somewhere around 200 hours on Beatmania ever since the US KOC was released..... and I've had absolutely no problems with it at all. I haven't modded it either, and the only thing holding me back is my own lack of skill (forever stuck at 9s/10s).
