USA KOC broken already?

So I got a USA IIDX bundle when they came out and I really haven't even played a whole lot but now my number 3 key (? 2nd from left white key) does not register, at all.

I was just curious if anyone elses' USA KOCs have crapped out on them yet too.

I got mine on day one and it hasn't acted up once, even after I tried my hand at a few Anothers. Sounds like a defect to me. You should try to get a replacement while the Target sale is still on.

Meh, I think I'll just wait for the DJ Dao's to be finished and save the $40 for that.

I have had problems with all 4 US KOCs that I have played on with the turntable not triggering sometimes. This type of problem is a first though so that was a little overkill.

My US KOC still works, and I bought it when it came out too.

If you want before exchanging it, open it up and see if there's something blocking between the key and the chip.

- modded keys
- modded TT

Works like a charm.

Got mine the day it came out, still works fine. No sticky keys or anything *glares at my JPN KOCs*. The turntable kinds sucks though. I'd mod it if I had the motivation.

I have 2 USKOCs with the keys and TT moded and I have had no problems whatsoever. like someone else said, check your board to see if maybe something got in the way. also check to make sure none of the wires got clipped. The cord, if twisted has a habit of ripping the wires of the board, so check that to.

-Buttons might be jammed by debris. Only do the following if you cannot return the game! Take the button array apart and clean it. Or mod it. If buttons still don't register, then this is likely a defect, and you
really can't do anything about it.

-Another button solution. Make sure the plug/socket for the keys is clear of debris. Poor contacts might cause a lack of registering. (Not 100% on this.)

-Turntables start out very stiff on some controllers. Loosen the screw that holds the turntable on. (I did this myself, and I must say, it works wonders if done correctly.)

-Blah. With edits.

Also, I play atleast around 3 hours a day since I got it. Minus a 2 week hiatus I took from it.

Since when did the "US KOC" get two exclamation marks at the end of its name? Also, this if the first problem I have ever heard about the US controller. If anything the "JP KOC" is a defective piece of shit.

Or you could buy the $40 bundle at Target, then return it with your defective one. I doubt they will check it that carefully.
