Question Very New Too IIDX *Help*

Hello Bemani Forums =D

Anyways to my point, I have never played this game and it looks really fun! I love DDR, but I know it is not the same. I live in Toledo, Ohio are there any machines around here? I did look in the thread to locate the nearest ones, but I do not think it has been updated?

A couple more questions, I am not asking for it, I just simply want to know. Is there a Beatmania simulator, like Stepmania is for DDR?

Finally, are there simfiles for the songs, even for Stepmania. Which ones do you recommend, that is from which IIDX game?

Thanks!

If you're after simfile and simulator info, the simulation forum would be more of a help to you. There are plenty of IIDX simfiles about, so just take a look at the stickys.

As for US machine locations, I don't have a clue... ;(

You could ask Duracell for that (as he's from Ohio as well). Or you can check out the Machine locations thread.

Anyhow, we have lots of beginner threads regarding this but all I can say is that getting into this game would require immense hard work and dedication (as this is one of the top three MOST DIFFICULT BEMANI games to-date) with a learning curve that is real tough. Nevertheless, it in itself becomes a rewarding experience when you can do something that only very few people can do or would even dare to do. Hence, it separates you from the rest.

That's all I can say about it for now but nevertheless, it won't hurt to give this game a shot. Heck, it may just be real fun for you too as well

Thank you for your quick response. I will be sure to ask Duracell some questions.

Note, I plan on making an effort too succeeding this games full potential. I have great hand eye coordination, but I am pretty sure there is more to it than that. This game has intrigued me for a couple years, but have finally decided to do something about it.

We'll try our best to be of help to you hehe

Anyways, if you need to contact him, here is his profile:

Then you could just send him a private message or something.

Oh and yeah, it will be difficult but another reward comes when you get to play on actual arcade machine unit. Indeed, a deluxe game cabinet of that size is really something (and it really shows and makes its presence felt). That and the sound system is capable of doing awesome things (those who've played on an actual arcade machine know what I mean by this )

Anyhow, it's great if you can get on-board and give this game a shot. It may indeed be a unique experience for you

AC is great, don't get me wrong, but it's not the best place to learn to play IIDX

Yeah, I can't even begin to imagine how many credits it would have cost me, to get where I am at the moment...

I would be playing on the computer, but the Mac has crappy simulators. I have tried all three. Two don't work, Aqua'N Beats is too hard to figure out where to place the songs. My crossfire doesn't work for the other 6 simulators I have tried.

I have about 400$, I don't care how much I waste. Bowling Green here I come!

$400? That's just about enough to get a JPS2 and a DJ Dao FP7 controller! (But then you'd have nothing left for the games )

Beat Beat Revolution 2nd

This is probably your best alternative if you want to try and learn how the game works but can't run emulators

It's not official at all, but it's far and beyond the best fan-made from-the-ground-up version of the game to date. There are tons of songs (some of them actually quite good, all things considered), and features almost all of the features that show up in the arcade and home versions of the game, just in a flash package.

For starters, play earlier CS IIDX games with a KOC. Going DJDao is just too early for you.

There's a lot you can do with that $400 when you spend it wisely.
