Want to bring IIDX GOLD to America? A step-by-step guide that everyone can help with.

I personally think getting IIDX into bigger and well known chains such as Gameworks rather than mall arcades will cause a inevitable chain reaction if it happens to be a big success. If it does seem to do well with crowds, then all the smaller arcades in malls and bowling alleys will try to get their hands on it. Then Konami of Japan will be like "damn it took those Americans long enough. I guess they finally got sick of DDR." and will start mass manufacturing and/or sending their outdated IIDX machines to the US. Then its IIDX for everyone =D

why aren't you guys wielding the sword that is Guitar Hero.

Its in the news every other day, and arcade operators are almost willing to put anything thats like that incredibly successful game in their arcade.

Personally, I'm not a huge GH fan, but getting a game as "foreign" to the US crowd like IIDX would probably be easier if we started with something more well known. From here, assuming, say GROUP A is the group of people who refers GH to a bunch of arcades, then if the arcade gets a call a few months later (after seeing GH due shit tons of business ) from GROUP A, maybe that little bit of credibility will help.

I have no idea, but it's worth a shot. And besides, a new music game in the arcades would be awesome.

Unless they went and looked up beatmania, ran into the BMUS version, THEN ran into the X-Play review.... That is NOT a good thing. When calling/writing, we should mention that there was a US version, but Konami messed that one up so pay no mind to that one.

I suggested in the other thread the we try large ammusment parks. (Six Flags, Cedar Point) as they have lots of people that play games and tons of different types. Cedar Point has lots of dancing and drum games... as well as some others too. Well they did last year, I don't know what they have this year round. I'd try contacting them as well.

Don't let this go to waste now, people! It may seem overwhelming, but first of all is to stick to the main chains: D&B and TILT. Then if you get the hang of it, you could move onto the next ones.

No D&B or TILT locations around me.

Also, make the 9th choice Cedar Fair (Cedar Point's owner).
