I use left ring on key 1, middle 2, and index 3. The only time I ever use the position you said is on Kagonotori [a] and it helps a lot in the beginning.

I can get all the way to the pause of Kagonotori [A] missing barely anything and with a 100% gauge.

Then I watch said 100% gauge plummet to 2% in the blink of an eye.

Should I teach my right hand to move more and use my right thumb to hit 3 and 2 on heavy scratch areas with weird chords? Or should I teach myself how to use my left thumb to hit 2 and 3 while scratching/aid in playing? I ask because a couple months ago I taught myself to use my right thumb and it made scales tons easier, and I jumped from doing 8's to 10's in a month, but I'm noticing scratching is my weak point, especially arcade dimensions (I'm getting a dao so this is an issue). So whats the better route?
Dude..I was exactly where you were (only I play 2p side..so I used my left thumb)... I never used turntable side thumb apart from when pinky scratching. I am trying to phase it in..but I'm just used to onehanding it during scratch intensive bits...usually pretty good too. But I think left thumb is the way to go. I can only scale in one direction if I'm using two hands.. and that's going backwards. I can't finish it off on my Turntable side hand...whereas with my outer hand/thumb it's easier. Obviously I only play AC so I dunno how CS progression works for people. But even so... yeah... mastering the use of both thumbs could make the difference between Gigadelic [h] and Gigadelic [a] one day.
