I live in Henderson, NV (small part of Las Vegas), and anybody from that area might know of a casino called Sunset Station. Well, in that casino there is a machine called "Beat Stage: 3rd Mix".
I'm guessing it's a bootleg, but there is no info for it on the internet.
It is a 5-key game, and it has a Konami logo on it, but the game is in such poor shape that I can't tell what's going on in the screen half the time, and the sound barely works, so I don't have any more info.
Anyone know what this is? | |

I think it's the Korean version of beatmania. If you google the arcade history, i remember a site showing a list of Konami processors, and "beat stage" is listed with other beatmania games.
At Buffalo Bill's in Primm, NV, there used to be a Beatstage IIDX 7th style (or 6th) too. Thats where i actually first saw an IIDX machine.

beatstage is the korean version of beatmania, it like what the U.S. got (hiphopmania, however some songs were taken out).
I dont know if there is any difference between the Japanese game, and the Korean game. | |

All of the writing on the controls were in korean, still. As far as I know, it played exactly like a japanese one. (if it was still the actual korean version inside the cab) | |

it would play the some obviously, but songs and other things could have been taken out or modified, especially if they cant license a song in a region (which I dont thing that would be why there would be a smaller song list on hiphopmania). | |

i'm pretty sure it was Beatstage because i've never seen a IIDX machine before, and i thought the name made sense, since IIDX looks more like a "stage" than beatmania... lol

My machine is a beatstage machine originally, running 2nd mix. Unfortunately I do not have an original beatstage 2nd mix as the machine was upgraded.
