I've only played the DistorteD 5-key revivals, and they're Just Great (321 STARS ...  ) . And putting The Least 100sec. on GOLD CS was a nice idea, even if the song was carried over many BEMANI games...
I have a question for those who know: are the original 5-key charts for DRUNK MONKY and CALDERA as hard as hell? There must be a reason for turning them into Anothers of level 11* and 12* ...

Instead of just taking off the 6th and 7th lanes it actually gives you the beatmania chart.
Drunk Monkey was always a pretty nasty chart, Caldera wasn't near as bad. They need to revive Hellscaper :P

Yeah, the transplanting is a serious one-up over just keeping them in their original form. I also get down to play CM2 from time-to-time, and I appreciate the 7k charts on these last couple CS mixes way more than the originals.
I, too, would like to see Hellscaper make a comeback. I'm glad I got to see it on L.E.D's new album, especially when given the glossies by Technorch and Chucky.
The not-oft-heard slashing mix of that song is a personal favorite and a definite crowd-pleaser.
And I think everyone would benefit from the last couple of mixes of Beatmania, especially the final, since that one never got a port. I think by the time The Final came out, Beatmania songs were generally high-quality enough to start attracting people to play it. It's too bad they started getting the hang of it then...
All right, enough venting, Beatmania's dead, let's hope IIDX doesn't join it any time soon. | |

There was also the Nahanaha vs. GATCHOOOOOOOOOOOOON battle in...I don't actually remember what mix that was in but it was badass
